This was a spot I went to based on trip advisor reviews. Whilst we sat on the rooftop which was lovely - the food was not up to par. The menu was very limited. I had lung fish which was un edible. The other dishes we ordered were not much better. Perhaps pop in for a beer and snack but... More

This café, on several levels, is very pleasant. It's in a great location, especially if you are going to the Opera House or want a central location to meet people (even though it's in an alley!) The food is not great, but it's okay and it's a reasonable price. Drinks are affordable. There is outdoor seating though the lights from... More

This restaurant is tucked away behind the exchange building. It is a charming four storeyed restaurant with nicely done interiors. Its walls are adorned with old B&W photos of Hanoi, which gave it a nice touch. Service was exceptional. The food was a fusion of Vietnamese and Western - food was above average.

We visit Exchange Cafe often after customer visits to finish in one of the rooms with good internet access our tasks. The roof top area is very nice, with some romantic corners and nice view. The service and food is excellent and the owner is very kind.

This is THE place to go to after having been at the Opera for a performance! Especially if you can get to one of the outdoor tables onthe top floors. Great veiw and very peaceful sitting. The food is OK, perhaps not worth raving about. The staff is friendly and makes you feel really welcome. One strong point is that... More

Very nice cafe and friendly staff and owner, but the Vietnamese food I had was disappointing. The spring roll was good, but the chicken stirfry entree was poor compared to other food I had in Hanoi. I wish I'd eaten at one of the street food places directly outside. I think the good reviews are probably from tourists that don't... More

We were fed up of the hustle and bustle of Hanoi and had quite given up finding something special and unexpectedly came across Exchange Cafe - a very unassuming place down a side alley of Pho stalls. Mia the manager was very welcoming and interesting and the staff were genuinely friendly. Spring rolls and beef soup were amazing. The soup,... More

We went here twice, and found the spring rolls to be the best of any we'd had in Hanoi. Nice staff, quite a large place (oddly empty both times, though) and a great location. Our favorite table was on the second floor at the front window. Very reasonable prices!

The coffee was so good that we went back two mornings in a row for breakfast there. All the food, both Vietnamese and western, we have ordered turned out to be very good and price is reasonable. The place is small but clean. The staff are extremely helpful too. I would highly recommend it.

One doesn’t go here for the heights of cuisine, as the menu resembles that of most Vietnamese restaurants in Europe or North America. The menu is a familiar mix of Asian standbys and international staples. What pleases is a quiet location on a side street behind the stock exchange, close to the opera house, as well as the Hilton and... More
