Don't be deterred by the line-ups. They are constant every evening, and move quickly, as the restaurant is enormous and well-staffed. Our guide recommended this, one of a chain of three similar restaurants, and the one within walking distance of our hotel. We enjoyed dinner so much, and the value, that we went back the next night. One has the... More

With the exception of restaurants and hotels, this is probably your cleanest dining option in Hanoi. Feels like dining in a food court in another major Asian city. Good but not great food.

Another great recommendation by our hotel. We went to the one at 18 Phan Boi Chau and sat at a table in the big courtyard surrounded by all the cooking stalls. We just kept on ordering dish by dish till our table was filled with food. One we didn't even know the name as we just pointed to what lots... More

I can't rave about the food enough. Street food in great surroundings. It was really tasty and everything we ate was fresh and busting with flavour. Try the shrimp patty cooked on sugar cane with rice pancakes... Delicious!

We are a group of 3 adults who have done a tour around Cambodia and Vietnam for the last 2 weeks. We have been quite underwhelmed with the food on tour so had been looking forward to some good traditional Vietnamese food during our last week in Hanoi. We were not disappointed by Quan An Ngon, let me tell you!... More

this place is always busy and expect to wait for an hour at times. you might even have to share table with the locals. my advise is have a look at the menu and decide what to have before you get your table cos you might have to wait some time for it to arrive. the service is average considering... We ate here two nights during our stay in Hanoi. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with a big courtyard and shared tables. There is a long menu with lots of choice and it's a great introduction to Vietnamese food. Service was swift and friendly, with the staff happy to advise. The place seemed popular with both foreign tourists and... More
