After weeks traveling through Asia you sometimes crave for some decent european food, other than pizza and pasta. In this case Le Beaulieu is the right choice. Good menu (apart from wine list, but this is the case for the whole Metropole - for me not understandable) - friendly staff and great food. Unfortunately the ambience is not too great,... More

We happened to have the Buffet lunch at Le Beaulieu on our last day in Hanoi. We were on a very nice 5 star tour in Vietnam, but we soon discovered why they took us there last. The Hotel Metropole in Hanoi is absolutely beautiful. When you walk in, you feel you could be at one of the finest restaurants... More

The ambiance of the over 100 years old French restaurant is just way too classy for any other restaurants to beat. The waiters are all professional with many years serving in the industry. They are friendly, prompt, caring, yet precisely, almost like clockwork. The restaurant's famous onion soup is a good way to start your meal. Among many main dishes,... More

We had a very special (and posh and expensive) dinner for New Year’s Eve at Le Beaulieu Restaurant. We had the vegetarian degustation, which was half the price of the regular degustation – thank you, Le Beaulieu for observing the difference in cost, and passing on the savings to the customer! The menu was: baby vegetables in Greek style flavoured... More

Our last night in Vietnam we decided to splurge on a nice dinner. What we got was an expensive dinner and little more. This restaraunt had no atmoshere, very limited menu selections and terrible service and to top it all off it came with a hefty price tag. I do not mind paying for an expensive meal, but I expect... This restaurant is part of the Metropole Hotel. Food and service were excellent, the price was very strong indeed. We had 2 cocktails, large bottle of water, 2 salad appetisers, no main courses, an ice cream sundae and 2 scoops of ice cream. Bill came to 1,800,000 VND and it's approx 2,000,000 VND to $100US. That has to be on... More

Although the food is great and is of a very high quality, the selection of main courses could be improved. The service on the other hand is inconsistent with silverware not being replaced between courses, the wine was poured directly without an offer to taste first and when the staff were asked about an item which was no longer on... This place is hard to beat in Hanoi. It rightly deserves its reputation as one of Hanoi's great restaurants and hotels. Definitely expensive especially the wine but everything is done so well and served perfectly that an occasional visit here is a MUST!

Pretty great Sunday brunch! Although no champagne or drinks included but food is still very good and excellent selection.
