Food was OK, but the service staff is all about getting you the next sale not what you need or want. Expect that down south but not here.

great food in gorgeous surrounds. we had both thai specialties (green papaya salad was to die for) and the indian dishes. the curries were excellent. eating under the lanterns was beautiful.
We ate lunch here at The Chedi on an April afternoon in 2013. The hotel itself is a lovely venue and the location on the riverfront was wonderful. The food was good, not outstanding but enjoyable enough all the same. We had a selection of Asian cuisine as well as a European dish. Presentation was good as was the service.
I highly recommend venturing out of the hotel to get local food, that said we did eat here a lot and the food is amazing!
My dinner was a very innovative and delicious salmon with fennel. The service was very good for our group of seven.
The food was good, we were given lights too see and insect repellent. the service was excellent. I think they must have read the feedback on here and acted upon it. we had Indian cuisine which was really good. i'm a vegetarian and I had plenty to eat and the chef was more than accommodating. the meal was pricy, ,3.5...

ate here three times, once for dinner and twice for lunch. The service is impeccable and the setting very tranquil. Food was very good, though pricey, as can be expected for Chedi. I felt it was well worth the experience.
This place is very beautiful to be within, except is was so dark, I could hardly see my food. Maybe this would be conducive to a romantic interlude, but I was with friends, not lovers. On top of that, the food was rather bland, though it was presented well. Extremely overpriced for overcooked food. Or any food.
The Chedi is a beautiful atmosphere. A friend suggested we meet for a drink at the bar (second floor above the restaurant). The Chedi cocktails were delicious (Apple Thyme and Cheditini) and we enjoyed a few of the tapas. The night was clear and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the full moon and stars over the river Ping. This...
