I used to think the Haandi and Bhandini curry restaurants in Nairobi were the ultimate places to go to if you wanted curry. In my view they are both topped by Khana Khazana. The restaurant is a large colonial house that has been converted into a restaurant. It has an open air feel about it as the windows were taken...

I do like Indian food, but I do LOVE this place! I am convinced this is the best restaurant on this planet! The cheese naan is really amazing, the palak paneer too, just like pretty much everything else. The prices are not cheap for Kampala, but remains reasonnable. The setting is nice too, and quite peacefull. This is also just...

One of the restaurants that i will have food in every time I am in Kampala. They even have a boutique section for visitors who wants to buy gifts from India.
I love this place! The Africans in Indian attire is a bit strange. The space is cool even on Kampala's warmest night. It is opened to the outside with a waterfall at the rear of the restaurant. Noisy at tables near the waterfall.
But the reason to go is the food! I've never had a bad meal here. Fabulous Indian...

Stopped at Khana Khazana twice for lunch during a recent stay in Kampala. The dining room was clean, very bright, the service was prompt and food was served pretty promptly. The one area of slight irration was both visits we asked if credit cards were accepted - and were told "yes". Both times my card was returned to me with...

For years this has been one of my favorite restaurants in Kampala. The food is wonderful and the menu extremely extensive. (Order by number for greatest success.) It's a very popular place and can get busy and noisy (keep that in mind if you are planning a lunch or dinner) but I've never been turned away, even without a reservation....

The food was absolutely delicious and was served promptly. Khana Kazana definitely ranks as one of the best restaurants in Kampala.
Probably the best Indian restaurant we have in Kampala. You also get the dishes pretty quickly and service is good.
What a fantastic gastronomic experience. The food was simply delicious and as you'll find in the best restaurants in India. Even London which has a great selection of Indian food hasn't mastered this authentic style. My only disappointment was that we were only in Kampala 2 days and they were shut on Monday so I couldn't go twice!
