Nice food. Service could be more expeditious. At wednesdays there is a band playing live. No cameras allowed inside.

Service here can be very slow, even by Kampala standards, but the food and atmosphere are generally worth it. The grill plates after 5 pm are particularly good. Best bet is to go when they aren't too busy.
On Friday, February 22nd, I went to Cayenne in Kampala for a night out with some friends. The night started out well, but took a turn when I decided to go for a swim. I had no expectation that this would be an issue, and there were no signs I saw to tell me otherwise, so I jumped in. After...

There's nothing forgiving about the place (except perhaps the spa, with exceptionally friendly staff). The food is cold, the service terrible, clearly no reason at all to go.
There aren't many venues in Kampala where you can really show off, so the place is crowded most times. You can definitely have fun there, but you need to be careful with the staff. Everything is overpriced, and it's quite hard to get your change back from the waiters. The bouncers tend to be overzealous most times, and I've seen...

While it is the in spot to be I am disappointed at the treatment especially Ugandans get at this place. Being a Mzungu clearly counts. Waitresses will forget to bring back change more or less intentionally. Unless you are among the Celebrity crowd dont expect a seat anywhere even if tables are not really booked...
Their food is great and the place is very nice, though it is a bit expensive. .......................................
Overated joint with rude staff all the way from the gate, 1st they deny you parking space because of 'reserved parking' at the entrance you pay and are frisked by bouncers who dont have any regard for privacy, when in most tables are 'reserved'. The first time i went the food was good but overpriced , second time we had...

Beautiful setting but the place is typically overcrowded, everything is overpriced, staff are arrogant and rude, food is mediocre, wierd rules like no laptops allowed inside during lunch, etc, etc. Numerous friends of mine have also had terrible experiences, particularly with the rude staff.
It gives off the impression that it's owned by some new money rich kid for use...

In the evening this is a nice restaurant, maybe a little bit overprized although I did have the best pizza in Kampala at this place. At night this place is all about looking hot and partying. Not to sure about the big mustached Italian guys surrounded by bodyguards and "willing" ladies... Great place to party, met some cool people here!!...
