Bias alert: the chef is from my hometime, but who knew that a Canadian chef could reinvent southern cooking and keep it so tasty. The rillette is wonderful. More

My favorite for special occasions because it never disappoints in food or service. Love the prix fixe that's available before 6 p.m. More

I have dined here several times, maybe ten, over the past ten years or so. This is still probably the best restaurant in athens, but it was even better in the early days. At the beginning when the chef had no rep, the food was always perfect and the wine list was unbelievable. Not only did they have excellent wine... More

I found the place stuffy and pretentious. I ordered low country frogmore stew Gulf shrimp, fingerling potatoes, corn, 5&10 andouille, leek & tomato broth 24. It was fine. I ordered a glass of pinot gris, and found it tasted as if it were a Chardonnay. More

Living about 45 minutes away, we sought out a restaurant that had a good reputation and would impress our Boston friends who were down for a visit. How disappointed I was when I left hungry after having an appetizer (marinated olives) a salad (caesar) and entree (scallops). The olives were fine but the salad was dry and a child's portion... This is a fine dining restaurant. Food is good but did not blow me away. If you're visiting from out of town try the Last Resort instead. More

I'll just start by saying it's "cool" to like this place. You're supposed to love it. Why? I have no clue. I've eaten at this place about four times--each time because someone else wanted to or we had a gift certificate. It seems like I always get some waiter who acts like he's doing me a favor by waiting me.... More

Visited my daughter at UGA recently and took her out for a meal she couldn't afford on her student budget. Everything was absolutely perfect. Had ramps sauteed in lemon and garlic for an app, the pork chop was perfection, my wife had bacon wrapped trout, daughter had a 'Mario Batali Style' (waiter's description) calamari, other daughter had lamb two ways... We were looking for a catering group for an upcoming wedding in the area and this was one of the 'approved caterers' for the venue chosen. We went to the restaurant to check out the food and had an excellent dinner...the waitstaff was wonderful to let us get half portions and split them so we could taste even more! (This... More

My cousin and I are huge Top Chef watchers and we both love Hugh Atcheson so we have been dying to try 5 & 10! We finally managed to get together and make it happen! The staff was great and we loved the atmosphere. We both go the prix fixe menu with wine and it was a great value IMO.... More
