My wife and I went out for a Sunday evening date. I've eaten at The Last Resort in the past, but it has been a while. We were both impressed with our entrees. I had the short rib roast (as good as I've ever had) and she had the trout. The food is great, and the fresh ingredients really make... More

An unassuming restaurant in downtown Athens - but what a find. We were the first ones in for lunch but by the time we finished lunch, the place was almost full and this was mid-week and the college spring session was over. The decor is very nice - bistro like. The wait staff very friendly and attentive. The menu had... More

I was in Athens during a very busy night for the downtown area. This amazing restaurant managed to get me in without much of a wait. The service was amazing as not just my server went above and beyond. The food was very good, and the drink selection was exactly what I was looking for. Ask about the history of... More

We were in Athens for a short overnight stay and decided to go to the Last Resort for a late supper. The waiter was extremly nice, helpful, and very attentive. Food portions were huge for the price and quality. We order the pork belly dish that turned out to be very creative and delicious. My husband actually ate kale for... More

Expensive, but food was just ok and atmosphere terrible. So cramped I couldn't pull out my chair to get in and out.

Awesome ... Everything about it. I had trout encrusted in pecans... Best i have ever had... Served with creamy grits..normally not my favorite but these I loved.. My husband had the salmon..equally good. Service was also excellent! Try it you'll like it..

We had lunch. Get the Fried Green Tomato BLT. Killer! Everyone had a great dish. Ravioli was to die for and burger was good. Service was average but what do you expect from college waiters? Definitely going back.

Cozy upscale setting. Great server. Food was amazing. What I though was going to be basic lunch kicked up several levels. Fresh ingredients. Taste buds humming. Don't forget dessert !

We visited this grill as recommended by someone. To begin with this is a young town due to it being college age crowd. . The servers were of like age. I witnessed a couple drinking glasses of wine on the job, which I felt was strange. The menu is small and somewhat different. After ordering the service was slow and... More

The lady at the front desk of our hotel recommended the Last Resort so we checked out the reviews and thought it looked good. The atmosphere was good and the place was packed. My favorite thing of the night was the potato cake - yummy! If you go, don't miss that! I ordered the praline chicken and my husband had... More
