It is a long ride down tot eh east end of Roatan but it is a beautiful ride. A great way to see the island and the different cultures that live together here. When you get to the end of the very bumpy sandy road you will see it sitting out over the water. Empty conch shells line the deck... More

This is one the most exiting and authentic places in the Caribbean. It is one hour drive from the West End of the Island of Roatan to the East. Start with a de rigueur Rum Punch, then be prepared for the most delicious seafood in paradise even when the ´place is also called the Asylum. Jimmy left a sophisticated life... More

We were staying near West End in Roatan and decided to rent a car for the day so we could check out Camp Bay beach and La Sirenia, which I'd read many good things about. It took about 2 hours to get there, the last 8 km being very slow on a dirt road, but it was totally worth it.... More

Been to Roatan twice...once in October 2011 and just this week, May 2013. We had such a great experience at La Sirena the first time that we made sure to go back for a second visit this go around. The food is beyond delicious...can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Try the sampler and the rum punch, yummy! It... More

We just got back from La Sirena. It was definately off the beatan path thru what felt like miles and miles of rocky road is this little shack on the water. It was idllylic setting, sitting outside over looking the the ocean. It was the complete opposite of west bay or west end. Not a boat in site and maybe... More

We hired Channin Bodden as our excellent guide for the day and toured the East End. One of the places on our agenda was La Sirena, based largely on the trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. All of our food was delicious! We started with onion rings and they were thinner then some and fried to perfection. I had... More

It is off the beaten path, but so worth the drive. We thought we had stumbled upon the best kept secret in Roatan only to discover this place was already ranked #1. You would never know. We were the only people in the joint not from the island on a Thursday night. They served local rum and beer and some... More

My man and I loved our late lunch at La Sirena! The owner is very friendly, and though we had a long wait for a table, he made sure we had plenty of drinks. The food was outstanding--try a lionfish dish (note: lionfish are actually an invasive species to Roatan, so eat em up!). Just be prepared to wait a... More

It's a long but beautiful haul to this East End restaurant. The structure essentially is a shack at the end of a pier. The view and the vibe are terrific. We went a couple of times and, with one exception, couldn't pass up the great deal on fresh lobsters. The exception was a tasty seafood stew. Make the effort to... More
