Almost every time that I go out to eat I choose the barefoot. The patrons are a variety of locals, expats and tourists. I a great place to have a meal and to meet interesting people.

The Barefoot is an institution in Placencia. Run by 3 American sisters it is the hub of everyone's social life in the village. Tourists, travellers, locals, expats all go there at the end of the day (and sometimes all day) to meet, share stories and have fun, all lubricated by the extensive cocktail and food menu. Try it out when...

Great place on the main road (although I hear they are moving back beachside soon) Unreal drink menu!! Pages and pages...I had a burrito and it was quite large. Expect to pay average prices for drinks and food. This seemed to be the place for everyone to hang out.
Loved the great outdoor feel as there are no windows and only half walls. Great people watching, a drinking place for many locals with good prices, good food, and innovative drink menu
We spent the first and last nights of our trip in Placencia and spent both of those at Barefoot. Its a great spot with good music and drinks.

I had a quesadilla, it was excellent, everyone (8 in our party) enjoyed their meals.
Our waitress was...

Happy atmosphere, diverse fun menu, good time, they had a huge variety of options for local bar food, prices where cheap compared to the us, slightly below local prices
Good pours, staff was very friendly, food was ok. They have music their on some nights. One thing - we ordered Jalapeño, cheese bean dip - they put some beans in a bowl, sprinkled a little grated cheese on top and then they put ONE jalapeño slice on top! We asked for more and they more than happily brought us...
