I was not impressed. Service was poor. Food was average. We found a long hair in the curry. When we showed the waiter he did not even apologize. We were still charged for chicken masala which we could not eat. I have no intention of returning.

Based on other reviews we went straight for this restaurant on arriving in Belize City. We were a bit disconcerted to find it empty of other diners but decided we were unfashionably early, since others did trickle in. We opted to share a meat dish, which proved the right choice - with nan and rice we had more than enough....

I can't stop coming back..Sumathi Restaurant has such a wide variety of Indian food. I've tried practically all of them and I can't be disappointed. The only thing i dislike is when I get too full to enjoy more. This is definately a place to visit!
Nobody had mentioned the fact that Sumathi do an excellent set lunch for Bz$10 also its latest move has taken it to 19 Baymen Avenue which runs off Newton Barracks Road
the food is the best India food in Belize, however the sirvice is the worst I have ever gotten in Belize.
I often visit this restaurant. I have take-outs when my wife is away and sit in meals with my wife and guests when she is here.
I like the food here although it is a little spicier than I expected at first, as it is in Belize. The Belizeans like their food spicy - my friend even puts hot sauce...

Firstly you should know that the restaurant has moved to 19 Baymen Avenue. However, the food Mr. Mani serves continues to be one of the delights of a visit to Belize City - from northern Muglai to southern Masala Dosa with a real tandoor oven and all that that can provide. The sauces are exquisite and flour-free, as they should...

Great samoosa's, my tikka marsala was not the best but the curries are good. The only thing it needed was some music rather than the TV on with the news.....

There were plenty of vegetarian options for our vegetarian friend, and all the entrees came with plenty of naan bread and rice. My tikki masala was a tad greasy but...

This would be standard Indian food in the US, which already makes it tasty (though their naan is particularly yummy). For Belize City, it's well above average. Like most Indian restaurants, there are lots of vegetarian choices too. The prices are similar to US prices, though.
