A great way to spend the morning/afternoon if you want a break from downhill skiing. Ashcroft and the Pine Creek Cookhouse combines a refreshing outdoor adventure with an exquisite meal. My friends and I rented cross country skis and took the easy trail along the river - gorgeous. It was just enough of a work out to work up an... More

The restaurant location is fantastic , the slide ride very romantic, the food and service very good, I spent my best birthday night in this place and I will definitely go back, maybe skiing for lunch!

We woke up to snow today, and the closer we got to Ashcroft the more it snowed, so the sleigh ride (pulled by the two Belgian horses), driven by the LOVELY Ally, was magical. Two of us arrived by sleigh; the other two (young and fit) skied in and back. The food was fabulous, the view incredible ... you have... More

The Pine Creek Cook House is a nice restaurant in the mountains behind Aspen mountain. To get to the restaurant you either need to cross country sky or take a sleigh ride. My girlfriend and I took the horse drawn sleigh up for our anniversary this year. It was a large sleigh with other people, but the views were great... More

I have never encountered a dining disaster like I did at Pine Creek. Our waiter did not provide any service- he simply delivered our food and was very bad at his delivery. To begin with ... the restaurant was not busy and was filled to 25 percent capacity if even that much. Our waiter was very condescending and disrespectful to... More

We cross county skied for the first time to get to this restaurant. You can snow shoe or take a sleigh ride to get to it as well. It's expensive, but what in Aspen isn't?! The food was great and the view was amazing. I want to go eat here again. There were so many things on the menu that... More

We had lunch with a glass of wine...$54. Still, it was quite an experience. You can spend a lot more if you add a sleigh trip or go for dinner, which is really expensive, but the food is extraordinary. Our waiter, Mark, was borderline rude and seemed unhappy to be there. Had to help ourselves to water. You have to... More

What a great place to snowshoe and then enjoy a fantastic meal. It's just a short snowshoe in...and worth it because you'll want to burn the calories you are sure to enjoy once you get to Pine Creek Cookhouse!! Unbelievable wine list. Super nice people and accommodating. If the weather allows get a table outside and take in the view... More

After our fourth visit I was not sure we'd return again. This is a very special place. The restaurant ambience is wonderful. Whether you cross country in/out or sleigh in/out, getting there (and back) is a large part of the experience. Our family has so many jolly stories of skiing back to Ashcroft in the frigid and clear dry night... More

Few restaurants are run with the level of professionalism and courtesy like Pine Creek. I proposed to my girlfriend there and was blown away by the Pine Creek team's creativity and hospitality. The manager, Casey, willfully kept the restaurant open for an extra hour for me as I waited for my future bride to arrive and left me with a... More
