Would definitely recommend for a quick stop-off, right in the town centre of Arroyo Grande. I have never seen such weird and wonderful ice cream flavours - the raspberry merlot and coffee kaluha were good and the Elvis special (peanut butter and banana) a real treat. More

We love Doc Burnstein's! The ice cream is made right there and there are tons of flavors to choose from. They have movies in the back room for the kids to watch and they have a train that runs along a track that runs the perimeter of the place up by the ceiling. It isn't cheap ice cream, but if... More

If you're in the Village of Arroyo Grande, this is a must stop and visit. On Tuesday you can catch the Doc B's ice cream lab and try the flavors they are inventing. Try some ice cream in a waffle bowl or cone (made there daily). Mmm. More

This place is in a time warp! It's completely charming. The ice cream is the best there is, served in an old fashioned glass bowl or a fresh baked waffle cone. Fantastic experience! More

And... it is in the charming "old town" of Arroyo Grande that locals call "Old Arroyo". So many flavors, a great atmosphere, and a cool choo-choo train that makes trips around the rooms. A monitor in the back room usually plays a Disney flik and/or a Doc. Burnstein clip. Thee are also "labs" where you can learn all about ice... More

We stopped here on the way down the coast because we found a flyer in our hotel. The ice cream was very good and had lots of innovative flavors. I settled on a peanut butter chocolate shake though although the mint chocolate chip looked good too. My wife had the cookies and cream in a waffle cone. The minuses were... More
