I wanted to like this cafe because of the unique addition of a local artisan gallery and its attractive entrance. Instead, I had average food in a bland atmosphere. Once you get past the entrance, its just another average cafe that serves an ok lunch.

Like croque monsieurs? Salad nicoise? Baguettes with chèvre? Then you'll probably love this quiet, French-influenced cafe. (If you're looking for burgers & fries and TVs, head next door to Jake's American Grill instead). We have had a nice lunch here three times now. Small menu with immodest prices. Sandwiches and soup mainly, with nothing much to recommend them. Service is very erratic, starting with the owners. Place seems to be popular with book groups, PTA planners, etc., but not a place to go with a date.
