Description: No matter the occasion, Zentan is your DC destination for Modern Asian Cuisine. Our ambiance is perfect for social events, dates, meetings and celebrations and is rivaled only by our chef inspired, seasonal cuisine and handcrafted cocktails. Every bite of our sushi is sustainable, flown in fresh and shaped into creative crudos, delicate sashimi and rolls not found anywhere else. Iffy about sushi and sashimi? Not a problem! Our small plates, noodles and entrees are Pan Asian inspired with an Americana twist. Each dish is served piping hot and plated to share; think Asian Tapas! Here are a few dishes to whet your appetite: a 19 ingredient Singapore Slaw served with a salted plum dressing, escolar crudo with pickled jalapeno and jicama, fried rice with cilantro and pineapple or a Five Spice souffle with salted ice cream. Please inquire about our Private Dinning Room and Rooftop Kelsie Wright at 202.379.7077 or kelsie.wright@zentanrestaurant.com

Chef Jennifer has an amazingly diverse menu. I sampled the hamachi sashimi, the croquettes and the drunken noodles. They were absolute perfection. Top that with excellent and kind service from Gino and Adrian, and I had the perfect meal!

Executive Chef Jennifer Nguyen made this meal one of our best experiences in recent memory. My two friends and I travel extensively worldwide, and we seek execptional dining wherever we travel. Last evening, we were having drinks at the bar and decided to have dinner there. Rather than ordering off the menu, we asked if the chef could offer us... More

Change of chef and menu was an unpleasant surprise. For such a old favorite of ours, we were underwhelmed by the menu changes to say the least. Drinks were fantastic, sushi was great as always. For how helpful and thorough the service staff was, they seemed stressed and under pressure. Unfortunately we will probably find a new favorite. Expected more... More

Food was great and very interesting. However they recently changed chefs so the menu has changed a little. Hopefully the change won't affect the quality it is known for in the past.

Nice ambiance but portions were small. Pricey menu, quality food. Restaurant and bar were busy with just the right amount of noise and buzz. Decor was tasteful. I'd give it 4 stars if the portions weren't so small. $28 skirt steak dish had only 4 slices of meat on it. Seafood dish was good, but there was a large amount... More

This was really a lovely surprise for a hotel restaurant. The service was GREAT and the food did not disappoint. Everything we had was terrific - well cooked and seasoned. Great cocktails, too. You can't go wrong!

This was a high quality pan-asian restaurant that takes creative liberties with their dishes. While I do agree it is pricey, I highly recommend it for a business dinner. My server made excellent recommendations, as I was dining alone and was not going to order so many. The multi-ingredient salad was a fantastic starter (half portion) and the bass dish... More

Came here on a Sunday night at 7 p.m., 2 minutes I got my table. Service was very fast, staff OK. I had a Szechwan Hot & Sour Soul and Drunken Noodles + beer. Soup was very good, Noodles ok (a little bit overcooked). Location is very nice with a low volume music in background. Likes: Atmosphere Service Dislikes: Noodles... More
