We followed tripadvisor's advice and had a great dinner. Food was excellent and the service too. The restaurant is very nice - even on a rainy day like we got.

This is a Tripadvisor "winner." The traditional Hungarian food is excellent at a surprisingly reasonable price for a touristy artist colony. Luch for two with beer was about $40. One of the least expensive meals we had in Budapest.

Dined here following TA reviews - so accurate!! Food and service were wonderful. We had fruit soup of the day, duck salad - yummy. Wine was also excellent. Nine of us dined very happily; two children's meals were just fine, much better than the "usual". Service excellent and friendly. We highly recommend this cafe!!

We had an excellent surprise at Cafe Christine, with an inexpensive gourmet Hungarian meal in a design atmosphere. Probably the best in our ten day trip in Hungary and Slovakia.
