Don't miss visiting this estate. A wonderful scenic winery with a superb restaurant facility. A little pricey but you will not be disappointed.

I'm afraid this restaurant has it's standards slip in recent months. I think there has been a change of Chef. We've given him a couple of months to settle in. However, it's evident he hasn't the skill to lift the game of this restaurant to what it should be.
Josef Chromy's Wines are great & always easy drinking with food....

Was very much looking forward to having lunch here, after enjoying an amazing cheese platter with friends here in November. We had an entree and a main. We waited two hours for our main and, like entree it was very small, disappointing and overpriced. I am happy to pay $30 for a main if it tastes amazing, but my pulled...

We had an enjoyable afternoon eating in front of the fire place and tasting beautiful wines in between courses. We were able to try the different variety of wines on offer and then order a wine that matched our meal. Food was ok. I had the risotto and it was nice.
The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable and being able...

We had a 1.30 booking for Sunday lunch, but it very nearly turned into dinner time before our meals arrived! We had two young children with us who were also made to wait one and three quarter hours for their simple fare. When our meals finally arrived, two mains were cold, two inedible and the remainder miniscule. The front of...

We have previously dined at the cellar door before the new larger restaurant venue was built. Certainly the newer restaurant is larger with beautiful views over the vines and can accommodate more people. The service is good, the menu isn't very long but should have something for most appetites, but bear in mind that the cost isn't cheap and the...

On a quick holiday to Tasmania. This was our second visit to the restaurant and it did not disappoint. Lovely views, quiet atmosphere at lunchtime (restaurant was not full) excellent food. We had the Zdar 'special' of two courses. The matching wines were memorable - the red was one of the best we have ever had. We had tried the...

Dined as part of a large group and just found this place short on atmosphere. Liked the look of the modern set out but the place was very quiet and, for a Friday night I could not work out why. I guess in the end the food overall was not special, the wine you can get elsewhere, so why travel...

We found the ambience very good, as we took our elderly parents we found we could talk without having to yell. In many restaurants these days there seems to be a competition as to who can talk the loudest . The service was friendly and efficient with the waiting staff taking a genuine interest in the quality of our food....
