This place is a hidden gem in Queenstown, I had the 4 course set menu off a GrabOne Coupon and it was one of the best meals I've had here so far.
I found The Bunker on the internet before I arrived in Queenstown. They took my online booking, even though I didn't have a local contact number apart from my accommodation contact details. When my partner fell ill on the day and couldn't make it to dinner, The Bunker happily accepted the reduction in my dinner party numbers without attempting to... More
I went to the bunker for my birthday and had the BEST meal of my life! The food was incredible - my mouth waters at the memory. From entree to dessert it was perfection! The service was beyond excellent.
Had a fantastic night here with my workplace with a group in the upstairs room with some very top notch local winemakers. We had a set menu with a couple of choices for each course. The service exceeded our expectations & everyone was blown away with the guy serving us & the lovely meals - everyone was happy which with... More
We lucked into this great little restaurant by asking a bartender at the Boiler Room (also a good place to go for drinks) where we could have a meal and get another caipiroska as good as the one she had just made us. She pointed us to The Bunker. It is a little tricky to find, as it is down... More
I came to bunker for the cocktails everyone raves about so I can't speak for the actual restaurant, so for a bar which specialises in cocktails I thought mine were very average, expresso martini and ameretto sours are pretty basic cocktails so I don't know what went wrong just not to my standard!
We ate at the Bunker for my Wife’s 40th birthday meal, with two friends. This place is great, feels like an old cigar bar; quite dark, cool music, attentive, knowledgeable staff, and brilliant food. The local produce is cooked to perfection (the venison is a must try). Will definitely go back.
Travelling around NZ for 20 days, and eating out every night, we managed to compare a number of restaurants. This was by far the best, and much better than than the next best, Logan Browns. A lovely cosy little cocktail bar above the restaurant, ideal for pre-dinner and after-dinner drinks. Having worked in a high-end cocktail bar myself, I am... More
My partner and I went to The Bunker after stumbling upon it on the day of our anniversary. The restaurant itself is hidden down a back street and as soon as you enter it the atmosphere is wonderful, very cosy and intimate with a lovely open fire. Our waitress was amazing, really friendly and easy going but also excellent at... More
Came here with my partner for a celebration dinner. The waiting staff were very friendly and professional. The food (starters of whitebait and scallops, mains of lamb rack and blue cod) was excellent. A small, lovely intimate restaurant, with fireplace. We will definitely be back.
