Friendly owner n staff and a great feed. Loved the Orange roughie and hoki was good too. Right in the centre of town
Ordered the fish of the day which was ok but batter not too good and fish and chips. New Zealand is renowned for fish and chips and the chips were the worst we have ever had. Undercooked and soggy. We left all after trying 1 chip each. There must be better places in Queenstown
I'm sorry to hear that your meal did not match the high standards that we set ourselves at PJ's. We spend a lot of time and effort ensuring that our chips are not soggy but crispy and delicious. It makes me very disappointed to hear that in your case we failed to ensure this. Each scoop of chips is cooked... More
We had crumbed scallops and chips. The scallops were tasty but smallish and at $2.5 each not great value. The chips were fine but on the small side. Overall nothing to write home about.
I ate at this fish and chips shop and I paid around $13 for fish and chips and a can of coke. The staff were very friendly I recommend this place to eat if you want a quick and easy meal. The staff were friendly and gave me free extra ketchup which is a bonus :) great atmosphere and great... More
Right at the corner of Marine Parade, there is a small stall selling Fish & Chips. Priced at NZD12, you can share it with a friend as the portion given is quite big. Great for lunch or snack time while admiring the views of Lake Wakatipu with snow capped mountains
Great service from the guys in there! Keep up the good work. The fish was great & the chips weren't soggy which was a bonus. Only thing I can think of, is maybe offer a free tomato sauce & then charge for extras..... the sauce was a little pricey.
My family was walking around and couldnt decide on what to eat. Saw this place and decided to hop in and give it a try. We ordered fried calamari and fish and chips since we were not very hungry. Great chips. Usually we couldnt finish the chips because most serves soggy ones which is really oily. The price is reasonable.... More
Nice people nice food. Good fish and chips. I'd go back anytime. It's not for a special night out but it doesn't pretend to be either.
We've now been here twice (over a couple of years) and enjoyed our meals thoroughly. The food is not extravagant but it is cooked well and tastes great. We will definitely be back if we are in Queenstown again.
I bought food at PJ's twice and in each case, the fish was vaguely off, although the chips were wonderful. The first time I had Hoki and it tasted way too fishy, and not at all like Hoki from the many other f&c places I also bought it at before and after, the second time was a disappointing piece of...
