This is an intimate bar on the lake with a cosy atmosphere. The tapas menu was very good and the food was excellent.

Eichardt's Bar has traditionally been the place we visit on the first night when arriving in Queenstown. We look forward to a cosy environment, good view of the lake, excellent wines, tasty Tapas and excellent service.
We were a bit disappointed on our recent visit. It seems that the standard has slipped a bit, albeit still at a very high...

Fantastic atmosphere with open fire place, leather lounges and views of the lake and the mountains. It's quite small, so make sure you make a booking or go there early to get a table. The tapas were a piece of art and very tasty and the service was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic, too. We had Eggs Benedict and they were...

Ah, the scones. We are getting rave reviews from everyone who trys them! Baked fresh daily and with homemade blueberry jam and clotted cream - perfect!
With snow in the air Eichardt's fireplace is THE place to be in Queenstown with a Pinot in your hand and a table of delicious tapas to snack on.
See you again next time....

This has to be the best place in Queenstown to drop into. It is always warm and welcoming. Add to that a fantastic wine list, open fire, friendly staff and wonderful tapas.
We started with Bollenger, decided to stay. The tapas included calamari tempura, pork belly, squash, parsnip & cumin fritters (yum), polenta and wild boar pancetta......
All accompanied by...

Another fan!
Lovely feedback thank you for your thoughts. We are committed to keeping up to date with menu trends and seasonal produce (and keeping it local wherever possible). Autumn has thrown up some great produce for us to show off, and match that with the best wine list in Queenstown (variety and value) and we have a great offering....

Great place for a nice breakfast, lunch or tapas! The omelets are made to order and the blueberry pancakes were delicious! You know it's good when even the locals stop in for breakfast! This is a great place to hangout at night too! Delicious tapas and drinks and a fabulous view of the lake!
Thanks for your review Tess, glad to see you enjoyed your time in Queenstown.
The tapas menu is ever changing so keep coming back for what's new, but rest assured the favourites are available all the time - our Legendary Seafood Chowder is a permanent fixture! Seasonal specials are proving a hit, and the cellar selection wines to match.

We were staying at the hotel so visited the bar for dinner. We were lucky to get a seat by that fantastic view of Lake Wakatipu. The cocktails were so huge they lasted us the whole meal - my Mule was very refreshing! The tapas were a real treat. Underneath their excellent presentation, the salt cod croquettes and bruschetta with...

Cheers Carlene,
Wintery weather is a great excuse to come in and spend the afternoon by the fire, and if that leads to a couple of Pinots and a Chowder, then so be it!
With the snowfall over the weekend its looking like a frosty season ahead, we cant wait.
See you again soon,
James

Cosy bar with very attentive staff. We popped in one drink, but ended up staying for more cocktails and delicious tapas. It's a small, intimate bar so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table at peak times. One of the best in Queenstown.
Thanks Kylie,
Of course the best things are worth waiting for! Tables do tend to turn over pretty quickly so there's generally not too long to wait, and guests are free to sit on the leather lounges in the hotel foyer for cocktails also - its actually a lovely spot with the huge glass atrium windows to gaze out of....

This is my favourite place in Queenstown, especially in Autumn when it is just turned cold and you want a warm respite. This small room has a fire going, thick curtains to stop the cold from coming in and soft seating. The room is just so inviting. The food as always was perfection! We had eggs benedict - perfect bacon...

We love returning customers, so glad you enjoyed our service again this year.
You're right, Autumn is a great time to visit Queenstown as the leaves turn amazing shades of the spectrum all over the region, and the smell of log fires is in the air!
We're fortunate to have this small cozy bar which is taylor made for chilly...

Nice and warm on a cold night. Friendly service albeit a bit noisy early in the evening. Pumpkin and parsnip fritters very good, oyster trio great especially the smoked oyster...went back for a trio of them alone. Wine list comprehensive and reasonable priced considering quality of the location. Will go back for the chowder....shame it's not served in the evening.
Just for you - we now have the world famous, legendary Eichardt's Seafood Chowder available day and night!
We had so many people requesting it in the evening that we have changed up the presentation to suit the tapas style evening service, and its a hit (as you'd expect!)
Rest assured during the day you can get the full, main...

Back to Queenstown, despite the cold we wanted a quick break from au to see the autumn festival in Arrowtown. We stayed in house again to do a second chance due to the lovely building and possie on the lakefrnt. There is something lacking, perhaps it was because the bar was cold and the staff unfriendly, but the bar feels...

Lovely to see you again Sally, no doubt we'll see you again during the winter too.
I'm not sure what we can do differently for you as opposed to everyone else, but feel free to let me know. Keep coming back though Sally we appreciate your business as much as anyones.
We light the fire each day, generally about 7.30...
