We came here after reading the great reviews, we weren't disappointing! I took the scallops and my boyfriend the streak, delicious and a real bargain as on Tuesdays they offer 1 main for 1 main bought. The service was excellent as well.

We were really pleasantly surprised. The menu was great. Thought it was more of a pub but they seem to have a huge focus on food. Who ever that chef is look after them. they do a wonderful job. The service was excellent here and only 2 waiters did the whole restaurant. The ambiance is indeed English and a little too brown for me. The food was ok but I had expected better. Service was super fast and prices are ok.

Booked a dinner here for a party of 13 (based on reviews from tripadvisor) and couldn't be happier that we did. Food and service was great. A couple of K out of town but really enjoyed the pleasant ambiance of this place

best meal and service we have had in 5 years of travelling around NZ. It was also the best coffee I had all day. More than happy and will recommend

Had a lovely dinner here .... tasty home cooked food, plently of it and very pleasing. Nice to have Murphys on tap. Good selection of food and all at a reasonable price for the portion size. It's not posh - but could pub style food for sure !

Reading the other reviews I wonder if we were at the same place.
