“dont bother great venue crap food”

even a change of ownership has not enhanced this restaurant. Seems such a waste to have the plush, dramatic setting being let down so consistantly by the food and service. Definitely not worth the expensive prices for a decor experience More

I am confident our food is up there with the best in the Bay and NZ. We are always striving to do better in the service department also. Thanks for giving us as new managment another go, and sorry our quality product was not to your liking. More

Our Head Chef/Owner has over 12 years expereince in some of New Zealands finest restaurants with some of the countries most respected chefs. Kermadec, French Cafe, Bouquet Garni, Logan and Brown, to name a few. More

Our meals did not reflect how they were described in our menu. We were particularly disappointed in our banana splits as they were poorly constructed and presented. We could have made amazing banana splits with what they cost! More

This business was purchased by my partner and I in April 2011 and Banana Splits have not been on the menu since then.....If you were to return I think you would enjoy a very different dining experience. More

It had been a while since I had been here, we had an industry function and the canapes and friendly bar service made me consider giving it another go... It was ok, the food was average, the service though enthusiastic was amaterish. It will be a while before I revist again. More

- The Old Church has been upping it's game this year to deliver a better experience more often for Hawke's Bay locals. They've got the wedding scene licked and have been busy creating new events such as High Tea on the last Sunday of the month as well as attracting the young crowd in with events like the Hawke's Bay...
