A faultless dining experience - from the greeting at the door to the farewell at the same door 3 hours later it was a memorable meal and evening. My friend and I had great expectations of our first visit to The Press Club and were not disappointed in any way. The service was excellent, the food creative, inspired and delicious,... More

Had the highest of expectations, so much so, i was worried I'd be disappointed if the experience didnt meet them! But, it was amazing!! From the minute we walked in the door, we were greeted by friendly waitstaff. We shared 3 entree's to begin with, each had beautiful flavours and exciting elements. we were thoroughly impressed. Then each had a... More

I booked lunch for my husband's birthday and we were impressed that they had reserved the corner table, which was a larger table normally for 4 diners, and gave both of us views across the restaurant and out of the windows. There was also a birthday card "from George and the team" and although not personalised, a really nice touch.... More

I love this place. The chef's table is one of my favourites and the food is wonderful. I have sat at the Chef's table a number of times and am never disappointed. A while ago they introduced a fixed menu and price for that table and it is worth every bit of the price i paid. I took the wine... More

It's been a while since I ate here; there were five of us having an informal working lunch. We chose the kerasma, the tasting menu at $50 per person. What stuck me after an absence is that, however many Greek words are used in the menu, there's not much sense of Greek flavours, modernised or not. None of the great... More

Press Club is out to impress, and it does. Food was perfection, seafood entrees/appetizers cooked perfectly, main of lamb which was falling apart and such sweet yummy desserts. Handled our group of 8 very well, never having to wait too long. Also our waitress was great at helping us pick off the menu, and then we relied on her to... More

We (4 of us)all had the 8 course degustation accompanied with two matching wines, most dishes were ok but did not have any wow factor at all, least to say some dishes were fairly bland, especially the chicken. The service was fairly good for a busy saturday night we thought until the very end when we were starting to have... More

The food was good, but not fabulous. The wait staff were efficient, but not engaging. As though it was a case of yes we know we are great, just eat the food. There is a lot of hype surrounding the venue and I think this is the problem. You want an experience when you pay a lot of money and... More

My husband and I wanted to dine somewhere nice on the first night of our short honeymoon and decided The Press Club fit the bill perfectly. I had read some not so great reviews and was a little wary but we decided to give it a try anyway. I'm so glad we did, we both absolutely loved it! They were... More

I've been here twice now, both times with groups. And both times, the food has me scratching my head in puzzlement. It's just not very good. It's just OK, weird and over-done, but a bit pointless. The flavours are all over the place. The service on both occasions was superb, there's a lady with a US or Canadian accent that... More
