Friday night. No booking. Accommodated 2 adults and 2 children. Service average to good. Food excellent although one dish of 3 was a little cool. The only downer was the ambience. Decor "tired" and aircon too cold. Otherwise good meal. No Hats but I would return.
This is the second time I've visited this restaurant, and while it is ok, that is about as good as it gets.
We arrived without a booking and were sent up to the second floor where we were seated and promptly forgotten about for a while.
We decided on the banquet, and the servings were quite small. I think we...

We haven't been here for Yum Cha for a while, and I think in terms of a quick meal at a reasonable price you can't go wrong. We got there about half an hour before service closed but the food was hot and tasty, the tea plentiful, and the place was packed as usual. And it was very nice to...

Admittedly we visited a late session (2pm) on a Good Friday, but the food...

I have been to this restaurant many times over many years for yum cha. The menu seems not as diverse. It seemed that prawn was included in most options. I have raved about this restaurant in the past and recommended it highly. After a few days in Melbourne and having visited many eating places, I doubt I would be back.
Out group of three couples ate at the Shark Fin House on Sunday evening over Easter 2013. We are reguar visitors to China Town in Sydney, where we have generally always been happy with our experience. Given the culinary reputation of Melbourne, which was backed up by our own experiences for all other meals that weekend, we were pretty confident...

This place is not about the service, the service is a given always slick and efficient. This place is about the food, it is reliably good. Time after time the flavours, freshness and quality of the food is absolutely consistant and this is what makes it excellent.
With so many Chinese restaurants in a small area it's always hard to choose one, but for once we made the right decision. Our party of four had dinner here after a recommendation by a friend and were very happy with our choice. Without a booking on a friday night, the ground floor room was full and we were shown to...
