last night after the cirque du soliel show at docklands, we came across this restaurant. The place was not very busy, and as we just wanted a quick meal, we decided not to have a steak or burger, instead we ordered an entree of calamari rings for me, and my husband ordered a chicken parma. After 45 minutes, our meals... More

Took us ages to find and at the time they still hadn't got there new liquor licence under the new name of the restaurant. We were the only people dining and the food was expensive and average will not be going back plenty of better restaurants in melbourne!

Outback Jacks at the Docklands is now known as Aussie Steak, Burger Bar and Grill. We ordered a medium well steak, and got a medium well steak - FINALLY a chef who knows the meaning of medium well! The steak was delicious but the add on of prawns & fish was not quite worth it - a few pieces of... More

One of the better steak places in the Docklands - though everything "feels" like it's been stored for too long, and not prepared fresh.

My boyfriend and I decided to have dinner at this place as we were craving some steak. We got there and the waiter offered us a seat at the door and it was windy. (7/10/12) I told him I was uncomfortable with this position and requested a booth seat. He told me that a gentleman was occupying the one I... More

Before visiting the Outback Jacks at Docklands I had visited a number of other OBJs locations across Australia and had become quite fond of the dining experience they offer. Unfortunately from the word go this place was a disaster. To begin with trying to get free parking in the Docklands is a joke which means making the effort to visit... More

After waiting for more than half an hour our food came out.The wagyu steak was overcooked - at $50 it was a waste. The crocodile and chicken wings were also dry and lacked flavour. The wedges were good. Main meals were north of $25. Would not go back as not value for money and badly cooked food.

I went with the intention of completing the OBJ Challenge having discovered it online as one of the few eating challenges advertised. The website, online menu, and in-store menu all had different terms/conditions and prizes for the contest. When i broached the topic with the staff their only answer was, "Oh, that must be a company thing, we are just... More

Empty restaurant was a guide to how bad this venue is. The service was non exsistant with 2 meals coming out followed 10 minutes later by the third. The food was almost unedible and the price was over the top for the quality. Steak ordered medium rare came out well done and tough. Would not recomend this venue.

Melbourne is truly a wonderful and enjoyable city to visit, with lots to see and do. Be forewarned: the price of dining out is astronomical! As an example, 2 thin-crust 11" pizzas and 2 beers were $55.00 US. A 3" cup of espresso-like coffee was $5.00 US. The food prices in Australia in general make NYC look like a real... More
