The event, Mothers Day brunch, with fond memories of a brunch long ago at Chianti Classico the whole tribe descended. The restaurant, the service and the coffees were faultless. Unfortunately the food could only be described as pedestrian. For breakfast there was a really limited menu and we were all a little underwhelmed. There was nothing technically wrong with the... Certainly no cliched pizza pasta offering here as this restaurant is a class act. Maybe the menu is a little conservative but I suspect it is delivering precisely what is customers expect, high quality food, friendly and informed staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Having been in business for nearly 30 years they know what they are doing! The rabbit was... More

Dinner here with work colleagues. I was really looking forward to it as it as a very good reputation. I must say I found it merely average and quite expensive for the pleasure.

The good bits: the service. Quick, if a little over-loud and intrusive. The could-improve bits: the dry, overcooked meat, the buffalo mozzarella (was it thawed from frozen? In Italy a good one feels almost like barely cooked egg white and is served at room temperature. This was grainy and very cold.) The broken cafe blind right next to our outdoor... More

I soooo wanted to feel like I was back in Italy. The ingredients were right, the combinations were right but it just didn't hang together for me. The meat dishes were overcooked and dry which was a shame because the flavours were wonderful. The real let down for me was the buffalo mozzarella - it was grainy and watery as... More

Excellent food & service, beautiful classy setting. Had a fabulous breakfast with my daughter and son's partner as a special girls outing. Would definitely return.

Enjoyed breakfast here on a couple of occasions and one time for dinner. Haven't been disappointed yet with any of my menu choices and the staff service is always excellent. It is especially a nice touch when the owner comes around to greet you. Recommend to Adelaideans, interstate and overseas visitors alike. Great central location too.

Always consistent; excellent service; big wine selection; nice environment inside and out. The pasta and steak dishes were excellent and the only disappointment was the monk fish (lacked taste and was very bland).

We had overseas visitors, we wanted to show them fine dining Italian food in Adelaide. I was very disappointed with my main (the baby squid). They enjoyed their food, but it's a hit and miss, some mains were very good (the rabbit), but some were very average and bland. It's not worth paying $33 or $35 for a main that... More

We heard about this restaurant on gourmet traveller Wow so glad we did staff was brilliant but nothing compared to what we ate. The food was out of this world, we went on Easter Saturday then went back for breakfast this morning before we left to come back to Perth. Yes Perth does have some amazing restaurants but this is...
