Amazing! You can't beat this for great Indian food and value for money. Deluxe banquet is the best way to go. Keep coming back for more and more.
Heard by word of mouth this was authentic real deal Indian. Were very disappointed. We ordered a large mixed platter as a starter. Absolutely disgusting. The tandoori chicken wings were reheated and soggy. The pakoras and samosas were hard and old. The rest of the meal was also very average. The curries had the same gravy in two of them... More
I visited the Taj Mahal again tonight. This time I walked over from Albert Street as it was a nice evening. I knew I was going to struggle as soon as the mixed entre arrived. I think they must have made a mistake as there was enough for two. I dont eat much meat so left the chicken wings. The... More
I was taken to this restaurant by a friend who knew I love curry when I recently visited Brisbane. Unfortunately there are not many Indian Restaurants in Australia that can match the English curry house experience. Although I must commend them on having very similar food to one of my local curry restaurants in England which I steer clear of... More
I've been fortunate to eat Indian food before with co-workers but my husband always balked at going. Since we are open to trying different things (my husband had a Kangaroo Burger) I was finally able to... More
Stopped by this place for dinner while on vacation on Brisbane, and it was well worth the visit. Great service, not a long wait for food, good prices, and very tasty. Can't speak to the curry but the vindaloo was very well done.
Anglo -Indian food is what I was brought up on. It is richer, thicker and not always what an Indian would call authentic but, frankly, it is the best. I have Indian friends who cook authentic curry but frankly I don't like it as much as Anglo-Indian. This restaurant is average in authentic terms but very poor if you have... More
I think by the standards of Brisbane Indian restaurants, this is not too bad. However, most Brisbane Indian restaurants are middling to average, and this was no exception. Passable meal, no more.
This is simply my favourite Indian 'food' restaurant. The deep fried 'puri' bread is an indulgent choice over naan and their perfectly balanced coconut-based Narial is rich and creamy but not too sweet. Located on Brunswick St, heading toward New Farm Park, it's on a corner intersection of casual boutique bars and restaurants. The restaurant ambiance doesn't equal the level... More
