We came here for a quick lunch and ended up staying for hours. It was great food, the prawns and calamari were amazing. The staff friendly and views to die for.

Someone told us to go to La Beach for the best seafood in Cullen Bay. Nothing imported, all fresh and what a surprise. We could not believe how many people came into this rather relaxed and laid back fish & chip shop/café. At first glance you would not think it would deliver. We had the best calamari and the crumbed... More

Went here last night after the haul up from Melbourne and quite a bit of swimming. Being good Friday, not a whole lot was open. We came with expectations of your average fish and chip shop but were delighted with what we found. We ordered grilled barramundi, calamari, chips and some salad for take away. All were fresh and cooked... More

We had been when it was a normal restaurant, good food then and of course sitting upstairs gives you that lovely view of the harbour and sea breeze We've been back a few times now it's as we would say a"Chippy" and the food is still good None of our party had any complaints with the fresh fish and large... We had Dinner there, two times, and always was it good, the service and the food. The only thing is the chef should change the menu more often, but we found something on the menu. Nice location and we will back.

Have been here a few times now since it changed to a Fish and Chip style restaurant. The first time our Barra was still raw (it was a huge piece if fish!!) and the owner apologised and cooked another piece straight away, which was delicious. The threadfin salmon is beautiful as is the barra. Fish is always very fresh, chips... More

What a terrible disappointment! After searching for a good seafood restaurant in Darwin I read the reviews on La Beach and thought: "That's the place to go". I phoned to make a booking only to be told: "We've changed the concept, we're take away fish and chips now". What I wanted to do was to sit down in air-conditioned comfort,... More

Out of all the reviews here, I can't believe no-one has mentioned the Paspaley Pearl Meat in the entrees!!! Many people see "pearl meat" and assume it's a fancy name for an oyster... NUP! This meat from the inside of the pearl oyster is unique in flavour and texture - you simply MUST try it, a tad exxy, but worth... More

La Beach is a beautiful dining experience. The food is just heavenly as is the views across the water. Every time without fail, the food and service has been consistent. The seafood is always fresh and tasty. They have good wine list and the cocktails are very nice too. An outdoor table around sunset is definitely the way to go... More
