Re: neutral bay shop It saddens me to report how deeply upset I was today after being served by the younger man 'Jack"? I merely asked if I could have my lasagne served warm to be answered by "what do you think, I would serve...it cold?' At the end of my meal I asked if there were any more friands left, to be answered with ' well do you see any'. I tried to make light with the matter by asking him where he was from(maybe it is customary to be blunt??) and by telling him that I once ate a soup cold. He replied by telling me to 'stop being stupid, and that I'm an idiot'. I have never been insulted like this in my whole life. He also insinuated I was being racist, which I highly detest(being of eurasian background). I'm not sure if Jack was having a bad day but his manner and customer service was condescending, deplorable and highly offensive. And this was in front of another patron! He then proceeded to escort me out of the shop! I was very humiliated. Maybe putting him in the backroom out of harms way would best suited for somebody like him. ISent from my iPhoneMore

Iku is a great chain store for healthier vegan foods, they usually have some Asian dishes as well as lasagne, pies pastires etc, all made in a wholefoods plant based style! Definitely worth a try.

We liked the delicious fresh and tasty ingredients available in this wholefood/vegan range. So nice to see this type of food available in food courts. They also offer various locations in Sydney CBD and suburbs. Our favourite was the lasagne but you could safely choose...anything from the menu and be sure you would satisfy your tastebuds whilst doing your body a favour. Take home meals and catering available. Reasonably priced.More

Being a vegetarian, this was a saviour. Just next to my office, this was the cleanest vegetarian option for lunch-time.

Located in a very trendy, busy area of Sydney, it's fun to sit at a window table and people watch as you enjoy a healthy, vegan meal. The salad and lasagna were delicious! They could improve their selection of desserts.

Discovered the IKU takeaway food bar gem in the Sydney CBD on our xmas trip. Just loved the great quality, tasty fresh food. We stocked up on veggie cakes, wraps, goopy sticky rice desserts (yum) and a bottle of their own tahini dressing. Took them...back to our hotel for breakfast and snacks, and the dressing has lasted well all the way back to Tassie. It is so hard to find good food for special diets, and stuff that actually tastes great. Thank you IKU!More

Iku is such an easy place to grab a hearty, bite to eat. Filled with lots of plant-based, vegan and vegetarian options, you can't go wrong. This is strictly a light-lunch place only with a limited menu. However, everything is healthy and filled with vegetables,...rice, seaweeds and flavour. Whatever you do, make sure you get something with that tangy tahini dressing they do. It's amazing. I got the burger and they drizzle the salad in that stuff like it's tomato sauce on a sausage in bread. It's sooo good. The nori rolls are delicious and I particularly like the filling salads with all those creamy dressings. The lasagne is really nice and has loads of nutritional yeast, to give it that cheesy taste. The coconut cheesecake is particularly good, and they give you coconut cream as a side, which is delicious on it's own. The desserts are equally good, and many are bite sized, so you don't feel guilty for indulging. With so many Iku's in many main places across Sydney, it makes vegan eating very easy and accessible. Come to Melbourne guys! You'd do great down here.More

The food was delicious, but Iku in Glebe is really just a take away joint, with a few bar stools. I had a great vegan laksa and a salad and rice balls, but felt rushed by the only member of staff who clearly wanted to...shut up shop and get home, although it was only about 8pm on a Friday eveningMore

i've been going here on and off for a few years. the food is very healthy and delicious. i do find it a little pricey for what it is but i always feel like i've eaten well afterwards. the food items haven't really changed over...the years hence i tend to get bored and stay away for a while until i rediscover it's goodness. i little more variety would helpMore

This whole food café was a real surprise! Delicious food at a very reasonable price including free tea & water. For diners seeking a healthy & delicious option, I would certainly recommend iku whole food (there are other locations in and around Sydney). Friendly staff,...appropriate décor, even a pigeon was a regular visitor! Unable to advise on specific dining times.More

I'm always glad to find somewhere for dinner with so many gluten free options. However when i ordered dahl for dinner, the girl that worked there looked at me confused, even though it was on the menu. It was a good sized serve with rice,...however it just lacked that extra something. Overall was a bit boring.More
