An Fulacht Fia has been open about three years or thereabouts. I have eaten there on several occasions with friends, as I don't live very far away. It is in a beautiful location on the Burren coast. The food is consistently good, but possibly a little bit pricey for a country restaurant. However, they do good "early bird" specials which... More

It's a little bit outside Ballyvaughan on a windy road so if you're staying in the town and intending to walk out in the evening, get a taxi. The setting is lovely and we were initially surprised by the high-spec decor but don't let that fool you into thinking the place is stuffy. It's a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food was... More

We were at a private dinner, so the menu was set, but still delicious--lamb rump, salmon, raspberry sorbet between courses. More

I went on the opening night for the season and it was obvious. The staff seemed rushed and as if we were inconveniencing them. I’m sure that that’s better further into the season. The food was very tasty and would definitely make me go back if I were ever nearby. I had an amazing and perfectly done pork belly as... More

This was the highlight of our weekend in County Clare. The food was excellent and the service delightful. I had halibut which was amazing! The seafood chowder was also superb. My better half had Sea Bass, another gem! More

We took a tripadvisor review and decided An Fulacht Fia has a better rating than the popular restaurant Monks of Ballyvaughan which had mixed/poor reviews....how glad were we. Service 10/10 Decor/Ambience 10/10 Food 11/10 Crab claw starter is simply amazing. If angels eat food then this would be it. Mains of Duck, Monkfish and Lamb went down a treat as... More

We ate here on a Thursday evening without a reservation. The service was excellent and the food wonderful. The halibut was terrific; it came with potatoes and vegetables, including carrots and parsnips which were wonderful. The seafood chowder was also excellent. We did not have dessert, having filled up on everything else. More

A group of 20 friends went for dinner to celebrate 2 birthdays. The restaurant is beautifully decorated & very comfortable with breathtaking sea views. The food was excellent and service was very good, considering we were such a big group. We had asked a few days in advance to have a birthday cake supplied. The cake was just awful -... More
