Description: Housed in a picturesque building resembling an oversized dollhouse, the award winning Wild Geese Restaurant is a true gastronome's delight. The restaurant has several cosy rooms with open fires, and this refined interior - together with the use of the best local produce - makes this one of the most sought after restaurants in Limerick. The food is classical with a modern touch and is cooked in the simplest ways in order to maximise the flavours and tastes of each dish served. This high standard of culinary excellence is established by David Foley, whose masterful cooking skills have previously earned restaurants AA Rosettes. His talents have also led to The Wild Geese Restaurant being listed in the Bridgestone Top 100 Restaurants Guide and Georgina Campbell's Jameson Guide, as well as winning the Best Restaurant in Munster in The Jacob's Creek Restaurant Award 2007.

We were staying in Adare for our 10 year anniversary, and decided to dine out one of the nights as a treat. We had looked at many of the restaurants while out walking in the villiage, and based on both the menu, and the huge amount of awards on the wall, we chose The Wild Geese. We telephoned at 6.30pm... We decided to choose the Wild Geese as the venue for my fathers 60th birthday as we live a short distance away but have never eaten in Adare. Going on sound recommendations, we booked the table for seven on a busy Saturday evening at the restaurant. The whole experience of dining in the cottages is fantastic, from ringing the doorbell... Had the pleasure of dining here last night and wow it was amazing! The food was top class. I had scallops to start with black pudding & it was a meal in itself! So fresh and the pudding was so moist and worked so so well with the fish! Delicious! I then had fillet of beef which was cooked perfectly... More

Wow, what an excellent choice we made. Located in Adare village, we decided on this restaurant because of (a) well priced extensive menu and (b) the many Bridgestone awards displayed outside. We were not disappointed. On arrival, we were shown to a seating area, given time to view the menu and when our orders were taken, we were shown to... More

I was staying in the area recently and having checked tripadvisor decided to eat in the Wild Geese. I have to say that for me it did not live up to all the wonderful reviews. Firstly, we did not have the living room experience as we were brought straight to our table. While the starters and desserts were delicious I... More

As soon as we saw that there was an award winning restaurant in the village of Adare, we knew that we had to visit. The Wild Geese has been included on Bridgestone’s top 100 restaurant in Ireland for the past 13 consecutive years. My husband called to make a reservation and then we had to delay our arrival a number... More

From the moment we walked in the door we felt the true warm Irish hospitality that we have heard so much about. A warm cosy living room with luxurious sofas welcomed our cold bodies; swiftly followed by drinks from the bar served with a smile. Our orders where taken and we were lead into a beautiful and delightfully decorated restaurant.... More

We went to Adare on friday 13th and stayed in the Dunraven Arms Hotel. It was a lovely hotel but what a great decision we made when we decided to eat out on the friday night. We went across the road to what I can only describe as the best food I have ever had, served up to us in... More

We stayed in Adare for a week in April. We tried the Wild Geeses on out third night there and were dissapointed that we didn't try it earlier. The food was beyond delicious! All the ingredients used are all local to Ireland and it definately makes a difference. The service was excellant and the prices were reasonable, especially for the... More
