Description: Situated on the banks of the River Moy in Ballina, Murphy Brothers Bar and Restaurant has an easy-going traditional charm, from its cosy convivial restaurant to its menu of robust Irish cooking. Fresh fish and seafood are the main focus, accompanied by hearty meat dishes and a well-chosen wine list to wash it all down. There is a popular family Sunday lunch menu, as well as al fresco summertime dining on the balcony with spectacular river views. Snacks are available in the laid-back bar, which resounds with the familiar ambience of an old world pub. Murphy comes alive at the latter end of the week with Long Necks nightclub playing the best hits from the 60's to the present chart hits. The Front Bar also offers a late bar service with a DJ at the weekend.

We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening so not surprisingly we had the place to ourselves, This meant we got excelent one to one service and were very impressed. The location of the hotel is right next to the river but strangly feels like its situated above a night club. The food was to a very high standard and... More

Recommended to us by a friend who lives locally. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed and friendly yet professional atmosphere. Every single bite of our meal was delicious. The service was excellent from start to finish. We had a drink in the bar after our meal and it really topped off our night. More

I went for a meal for 7 in this restaurant two weeks ago on a Friday evening. While the restaurant was full The food and service was excellent. Our guests from England were very impressed with both the restaurant and the quality of the food. Well worth the visit More
