The food and staff at the restaurant were fantastic. The waiter/manager was so funny and a natural salesman (in a good way). We ate beautiful fresh seafood and were even offered dishes that did not appear on the menu as some other fresh fish had been brought in that evening. Lovely atmosphere and great food

This is a cool restaurant, great recommendation from our B&B host. The food was awesome we had 4 in our party and everyone loved their meals. The service was excellent and great atmosphere.

Don't pass this place by! It was recommended to us by my doctor to try, Beautiful intimate setting, The staff were very helpful and attentive. Food was amazing! My husband couldn't decide whether to have mussels with the thai sauce or the garlic and wine sauce, when he finally decide on one, we were astonished when the waiter brought down... More

The title says it all. The food was bland. The service was slow. The price expensive. There are many other restaurants to try before this one.

While the whole meal was not perfect (my streak and my guest's fish were slightly over-cooked) the fish stew (a meal in itself) was the best fish stew I have ever had. That MADE the dinner!

Group of us were in dingle celebrating a birthday last Sunday and looking forward so much to eating in half door having been few times before. Average experience. Waiter seemed totally disinterested in us but lots of attention given to those who were obviously the " regulars". Food was good but totally over priced. They knew it was a birthday... More

You feel special when you walk in the door. The low ceilings give the place a very special ambiance. First stop is at the bar where the choice is fantastic - and what a wine list. If you want to spoil yourself this is the place to come! My personal favourite is the lobster - but all the seafood is... More

First of all, let me say the seafood chowder was amazing. We ordered from the early bird menu which is pretty much prix fixe and I'm glad we got a discount, because this place was pretty expensive. Be that as it may, we enjoyed the amuse-bouche and were pleasantly surprised from the outset. The waiter was very friendly and it... More

We ordered the set menu. The chowder and lobster bisque was good. Lots of flavour. Duck was good. Unfortunately the dessert was a let down :( We had a good dining experience but we unfortunately went home and had to spend the rest of the night on the toilet. We suspect it's the seafood...
