We only had a few days in Melbourne, so we carefully selected Ten Minutes by Tractor for my wife’s birthday. The highlight of our trip to the Mornington Peninsula was this fabulous two-hat (equivalent to a two Michelin star restaurant) lunch and wine pairing. I...wanted a quality experience for my wife on her special day, and they did not disappoint. Every course was fantastic, and the wines from the old and new Worlds all complemented the food. Check out the pictures to see more. Finally, a big thank you to all the staff, who were all professional and contributed to a wonderful birthday experience for my amazing wife.More

What can I say but this place is fabulous. My taste buds were treated like never before. The dishes were a delicate marriage of beautiful flavours, colours and the freshest of ingredients. The tasting menu we enjoyed tops anywhere else in our country in my...opinion. Oh and the service top class as well. I love waiters who are professional, not trying to befriend you and serve you with the least intrusiveness and the waiters here are exactly that. Well done to the head chef and the staff.More

WOW …… yes this is located in the wine country 90 minutes from the city, but don’t let that stop you making the effort. Firstly, the immediate countryside and the wine country is beautiful and worth the trip alone. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, this...restaurant will blow your mind. I’m very lucky that I have spent a lot of my adult life travelling the world and particularly in the last 10–15 years with my partner I have visited a lot of beautiful luxurious places and had some fantastic food at fantastic restaurants. I can genuinely say that this restaurant is up with the best that I’ve ever eaten in, and may even be the best. However, to make that evaluation, I’d have to think harder then is necessary! 😀 This is, of course about the food, but before I talk about the food, I need to say that the setting is amazing, the ambience of the restaurant is first class and the staff are all of the highest quality. Now the food! It is fair to say that this is not inexpensive, but once you’ve eaten the set menu, you will not be anything but happy that you decided to embark on what is the most colourful, beautifully presented and fantastic food you might ever eat. Each course added a new dimension and at the end of it when we discussed which we liked most. my partner would’ve been taken back when I said the salad which was the most fantastic salad both in taste and visual effect I’ve ever had. That said, every individual course was of the highest quality, presented in different crockery/cutlery and all looking spectacular (make your own choice from the photographs). To visit again will require effort due to the distance from the city, and the fact that I actually come from the UK, so it’s a long way away to start with. That said I have little doubt that we will make the effort and return to the region and the restaurant. The next time we are in Melbourne. Finally anyone reading this review, don’t stop to think, book the restaurants, make the effort to get there and message me back if you disagree with anything I have posted.More

To celebrate a long hard year 12 work colleagues were treated to a special business lunch at Ten Minutes By Tractor. The 8/9 course degustation food was sensational. The service all 'long' afternoon was brilliant. Four waiters assisting with each course. Wines of course were...very expensive & delicious. Amongst the rolling vines of Red Hill the Sandstone restaurant is a 'picture'. Within a few kilometres of each other Tedesca & Ten Minutes By Tractor have to be two of Australia's finest eating establishments. For a special milestone event or just to spoil yourself 'do yourself a favour'.More

Wonderful experience with great service and a knowledgeable sommelier. We opted for the seven course degustation menu and matching wines. Comfortable table setting with some nice views of the Mornington Peninsula tree-line and hills. Very expensive and that is why I expected the food to...be perfect and to match the ambience. Unfortunately though 2 of the meat dishes (lamb & beef) although they were tasty, they were also rather hard to chew. That being said I would return againMore

This was our first return visit to ten minutes by tractor since its rebuild . It’s beautiful… Everything seems to have stepped up a level. The service, the staff, the food and the wine were outstanding. We had the five course tasting menu and additional...short rib . We also matched the wines . The attention to detail with flavours and presentation of the food were fabulous. It’s worth the priceMore

Dined here for lunch as part of a Mornington getaway. Rang the restaurant ahead of time to make sure they could accomodate for my pregnant wife, and was told it wouldn't be a problem. Had the 5 course tasting menu. Hors d'oeuvres (3) were served,...of which my wife could only eat one. No substitute offered. Took over an hour to get our entree... which we had to send back as my wife couldn't eat it (contained soft cheese). Took another half an hour to come back out. Entree and first dish of scallop excellent. Pork dish was great besides the boring / bland choice of tenderloin as the main cut. Duck dish was very good. Dessert took more than 45 minutes to come out but was excellent. 5 course tasting menu took a very long 3 hours all in all. Not sure if our server didn't understand our dietary requirements, or the kitchen just didn't care. Very, very good food, but unfortunately bland, boring and impersonal service. Expected better.More

WOW, what a beautiful restaurant and stunning location. Food was Awesome and the service was faultless. Set menu which we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of eating and not having to decide anything. Love trying different foods that we normally wouldn’t eat.

Really special experience for our anniversary - every little detail was really well articulated, each dish was beautifully presented, even my partner who isn't big on seafood was in awe of the snapper dish and the marron, both the sauces were just super delicious and...the proteins cooked perfectly. The positivity and engagement from everyone there was so impressive, thank you Will & Jamie, and of course, the chefs!More

Our 7 course degustation dinner started off well but things headed south from the Maron course onwards. It took over 4 and a half hours to complete with a 45 minute pause between courses from maron onwards. Got to the restaurant 20 minutes before our...booking time and consulted with the Maître de if we could go to the cellar for wine tasting before our lunch but was advised against it. She said that they were busy we needed at least 25 to 30 minutes for that. She said that we could go after lunch and that the cellar door was open till 5pm. Unfortunately we finished our rather ordinary lunch experience at 5 pm hence that opportunity was gone! Sommelier was excellent. Wait staff efficient. This was a rather poor performance from the kitchen. Food at best above average and confused with conflicting flavours. Is it worth the drive out that would be a NO!More

Arrogant and poor service. At $300 a head for food you expect exceptional food , service, decor and ambiance. The service was unbelievable bad. Would not waste your money or time. So many nester places to have great food experiences. I’d do a big flick....I’m outraged but more astonished. No excuses except we are busy. Get real your charging $300 per head surely you can cater for that price point expectation and deliver the food in some timely fashion. Had to leave as just got too late to wait 11.45pm.More

These days there are Degustation menus everywhere……. but this one is very special. Here, the main ingredient in each course is presented honestly, its quintessential uniqueness revered and celebrated. A simple chicken wing is a mouthful of moist deliciousness…. a yellow sauce bursting with tomato...flavour and then there’s Venison perfection. Hayden Ellis delivers a truly amazing experience. This is one for those who truly appreciate creativity, skill and the freshest produce. Thanks Oscar and Max for your fantastic service!More

Hello there. The price is not based on the meals themselves, but via how many courses you have. Having said that, it is so good that the prices are very reasonable considering the food you get. A brilliant place.
