Reserved a table for two for Sunday lunch at short notice based upon Internet recommendations and was not disappointed! Great food, excellent beer and exceptionally friendly service. I will be back.

There was a nice selection on the menu and the food was generally very nice. However, the service let the experience down. We had three staff waiting on us throughout the meal - the first took an order for pear cider, but then returned with a drink which he said wasn't pear cider but he wasn't sure what it actually...

We are first time visitors to Middle Ruddings, and despite the amazing reviews, we were truly disappointed. Lovely local pub, but with great food, which was a great surprise. Recommended to us, we really enjoyed it here. The meat was delicious and clearly high quality products are used. Fab evening.
Went here twice for our dinner and was really nice and staff very friendly. We also was able to take our dog which was a plus.
It is not often you leave a reasonable sized town like Keswick in the Lake District with many decent pubs and restaurants in the town to travel 3 miles further just for a meal. But having chanced on Middle Ruddings recently I can recommend a visit to this Country Inn & Restaurant. The menu was reasonably varied and well priced...

We went to this pub based on the recommendation from our hotel and we were not disappointed. We had a lovely dinner and the service was very good.
It took long to be served, though the food was good. It seemed like a good place to go with families, as they had several boxed quizzes on various tables which my friends & I enjoyed. We went in the evening so could not see the views.
i only had the bread but it was good and they were accomodating with my friends' requests. had boxed quizzes on the tables which were well used and much enjoyed
A well established hotel which has lovely views of Bassenthwaite Lake. Unfortunately the lakeside road is very busy. The conservatory is the more attractive place to eat. The menu has plenty of choice but I thought the food was uninspiring.
