Friendly service great food always a delight to visit the owner wife and daughter worked a well oiled team

We went on the anniversary of when we first started dating in 1969 and as always everything about the experience at Kathton House was first class. It is not the cheapest place to eat but worth every penny for the overall experience of excellent food, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere

We booked a table here last minute on a weekday for our anniversary. From booking to departure the service was very welcoming. Lovely food and a reasonably priced wine list. It's just a shame that we had no room for desert!

Food and service were excellent as ever, there really is nothing you can fault about this restaurant and we can recommend the cheeses at the end of the meal. For anyone who wants a great dining experience in Canterbury this really is the place to go.

I was so impressed with my visit to this restaurant over the weekend. What a fantastic little place. Limited number of diners but beautifully presented high class food. Excellent wine list with reasonable prices. Lunch super value but a leisurely dinner with no hassle to make way for additional sittings is best. All food freshly cooked and presented by very helpful and friendly staff.

A wonderful meal with excellent service. Home made bread rolls, followed by scallops & as a main course venison. In between courses appetisers & sorbets. I couldn't manage dessert but did manage coffee & petit fours. Truly wonderful. The service was excellent also - attentive but not overly so. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
