The other reviewers have pretty much covered it. Great ambiance, really good steak - and lots of it - in a very unique setting.

We did not have a reservation as we couldn't commit to a time but were lucky enough to get in. It was worth the wait and we were rewarded.
I had the filet and it was outstanding. It's a different kind of restaurant, the live cutting of the meat was great. I wish we had places like this in the...

Florence-cut steak. A really fun scene of comradery: Chef-owner has whole cow(s) and attendant cleavers. Hacks you and your loved one a giant slab of finest beef, draws a picture on your placemat, brings your cut over to you on butcher paper, cooks just as he requires it (there are no rare/meidum choices here, certainly no well-done!), embellishes with lots...

I loved this place! Being a solo traveler, I was afraid I would not be welcome in this busy restaurant. No problem here. I did have to make a reservation, but that was expected. You sit with others in this small eatery and quickly find yourself trying to speak with those around you. My kind of place. I did not...

We had reservations (a must). It was fun, seated with some young people we talked to, as well as talking to an older couple at the next table. The food was excellent and the prices were extremely reasonable (cheap even for what you get). The couple we were with ordered a small steak, which they said was delicious. I ordered...

Restaurant seats 50 +/-. Seating is common, no private tables, which encourages meeting and chatting with other patrons. Very social, casual atmosphere - noisy and bustling. Kitchen is open with a wood fired oven as the focal point. The owner is the chef and choreographer as well as a waiter. He figures your bill on the table cloth! Food was...

The hype is to be believed. The first time we ate here we ordered the charcuterie platter (excellent), the Pici (local pasta) with aglio Olio e Peperoncino (devastatingly good), the aglio olio e pomodoro Pici and the sirlon steak. It was way way too good. A week later, having traveled all around Tuscany and to Elba Island, we decided to...

We had the privilege of having dinner at this restaurant after visiting it on two other occasions. We phoned in a reservation from the US a few weeks in advance to make sure we could get in. We were rewarded with :
Dinner 1: Sharing the dining room with 39 Slovenian priests and a bishop singing drinking songs and REALLY...

Bistecca and sausage were very good. The salad and torte were also excellent. The place is crowded and busy, but the staff was quite friendly. We did not try it, but the pasta dishes looked great.
