A great place to sample local specialties (stuffed olives) and consume large amounts of perfect pasta. Atmosphere very personal but informal so a great place for couples and solo travellers. The Veal stew that I had for main course was simple yet sublime - cooked down in a rich stock. My wife had given up by this point but rejoined... More

This is a lovely little restaunt with about 40 covers. The food is all local and is very well prepared and presented in a rustic style. Definately not to be missed.

Gustavo - a local - recommended we go here for lunch. So Cristina, Clementina ,Gustavo and I all tucked into a fantastic meal with attentive and friendly service. We enjoyed the local soup, various pasta dishes, lamb, beef and turkey main dishes and various deserts. Cristina chose best with the roast lamb the stand out dish followed closely by Gustavo's... We went on a saturday night without a reservation... We were able to eat because we got there early because after the house was full and all of those who didn't book couldn't find a place. The food was overall good and the price was fare. Nothing to dream about though...

While I love the town, most of the meals I have had in Ascoli were good but not great. This restaurant was my favorite of the bunch. The food is traditional in style and the atmosphere is small and cozy. Since I only had two dishes at lunch, I can't quite go for five stars, but this is one place... More

The location is not the most beautiful, but we had nice food for an honest price. Very good local wines.

We had two dinners at Il Piccolo Teatro while we were in Ascoli Piceno. The first one was so great, we returned a few nights later. Each time we arrived without reservations just as they opened, and were lucky to have a table. The room quickly filled after we were seated. The first time we had marvelous lentil soup and... More

This was by far the best restaurant we visited during out two week trip round Emilia R and Le Marche. A veritable jewel - wonderful setting, wonderful ambiance, wonderful service and more than wonderful food and wine. Luca and his wife are doing a fantastic job with this delightful place. We went on a Thursday evening and were so impressed... More

I actually stumbled upon this restaurant as it was on the same street as my hotel, and it was serendipitous that I did! Even without a reservation, I was warmly greeted and invited in. I was the first inside but was soon joined by many others! I don't know what was best....the charm, the food, the service, the ambiance, the... More
