Been here several times for both mid-week and Sunday lunch and the food is excellent!
Now run by Danny Hughes, ex-landlord of the Black Bull, Matfen, a former favourite Sunday lunch venue of ours, Danny has fortunately brought his expertise over to the Boe Rigg!
Once again, Sunday lunch is a particular treat with RARE roast beef available on the...

I came here with a group of friends and had an amazing lunch. The quality of the food was top notch and the service was brilliant. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was very upbeat and friendly and I was warmly greeted on entrance by the owner who was in there eating with his own family. The surrounding land is...

Stopped off for a bite to eat on the way home from Kielder after a days cycling. Had a lovely meal, great quality and good sized portions, drinks aren't a rip off and the staff are friendly and helpful. All five of use really enjoyed our meals and although it's 35 miles from home we will definitely be going back.

The menu had a wide range of choices and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food, which ranged from paninis to the Sunday...

Decided to pay a revisit after a fantastic home cooked hot pot. Can only say something has been lost. Very disappointed with the quality of food on this revisit. Hope this can be rectified as the atmosphere was excellent.
We used the campsite as a base for a walking holiday in the Kielder National Park. Found the place by accident really but what a find. Facilities offered are all top of their range, washrooms, accommodation, catering and all for the same price of other places we considered nearby. The Bisro offered something over and above what we would normally...

Very good coffee followed by an excellent panini freshly prepared. Not the usual roadside cafe, an upmarket bistro with an excellent airy atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping at or making a special journey to.
