Dropped in for soup & bun and coffee. Clean, new style restaurant with views over hills. Soup & bun was served hot & very filling. Cost fair. Free WI FI. Ample free parking.

Been here several times for both mid-week and Sunday lunch and the food is excellent! Now run by Danny Hughes, ex-landlord of the Black Bull, Matfen, a former favourite Sunday lunch venue of ours, Danny has fortunately brought his expertise over to the Boe Rigg! Once again, Sunday lunch is a particular treat with RARE roast beef available on the... More

I came here with a group of friends and had an amazing lunch. The quality of the food was top notch and the service was brilliant. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was very upbeat and friendly and I was warmly greeted on entrance by the owner who was in there eating with his own family. The surrounding land is... More

Stopped off for a bite to eat on the way home from Kielder after a days cycling. Had a lovely meal, great quality and good sized portions, drinks aren't a rip off and the staff are friendly and helpful. All five of use really enjoyed our meals and although it's 35 miles from home we will definitely be going back.

The Boe Rigg has a lot to offer. The bistro offers excellent quality locally sourced food, served with a bit of flair but without being overpriced. Everyone should visit the Boe Rigg if you around the Bellingham / Keilder area of Northumberland. It offers relaxed scenic views over the rolling hills and a calm laid back atmosphere, it is an... We lunched here on a Subday as we were staying in the attached bunk house! Despite not having booked and there being 12 of us, the staff were very quick to accommodate us and the service in general was excellent! The menu had a wide range of choices and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food, which ranged from paninis to the Sunday... More

Decided to pay a revisit after a fantastic home cooked hot pot. Can only say something has been lost. Very disappointed with the quality of food on this revisit. Hope this can be rectified as the atmosphere was excellent.

We used the campsite as a base for a walking holiday in the Kielder National Park. Found the place by accident really but what a find. Facilities offered are all top of their range, washrooms, accommodation, catering and all for the same price of other places we considered nearby. The Bisro offered something over and above what we would normally... More

Very good coffee followed by an excellent panini freshly prepared. Not the usual roadside cafe, an upmarket bistro with an excellent airy atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping at or making a special journey to.
