We eat at Sutherlands at least one during a weekend break in Bowness. The service is good and staff friendly. There is always a good choice of food, cooked and presented well. Look forward to the next time.

It's not often on a table of 8 people you get unanimous "the meal was excellent” and the pricing very reasonable. The flavours in the different meals was the chorus that rang around the table. The staff were a lot of fun and very helpful I highly recommend this Restaurant

We had a slow braised Lamb shoulder the meat fell off the bone it was that tender and tasty.Very good food and a large choice. Some cheaper options on menu also looked good and plentiful. Very helpful staff and quick service.

Followed up a recommendation from a local paper and not disappointed.From the outside the place does not tempt and neither does the interior but cheerful friendly staff and good tasty basic food at a sensible( for Bowness) price.It was very busy on a Thursday evening so word must be spreading!

I recommend the curry. I love curry but do not like the taste of strong spices. This one had a sweet taste, I think might be apple or honey, which is just right for me.
