“Simply the Best Indian Restaurant for miles”

We have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and in spite of travelling all over the UK it is still the best you could find. I absolutely love this restaurant ; the nicest Indian food I have ever had, other curries just don't even compare. Staff are lovely and very attentive, atmosphere is great, can't fault it! More

“Excellent standards have been maintained”

As we once lived in Barnard Castle the Spice Island has been a long time favourite. This visit proved no exception. My wife had an excellent Chicken balti and I chose a new prawn dish from the hot area of the menu. we both agreed it was very hot but delicious. Well done Zac and the chefs! More
