Yummy cakes and delish coffee but what a shame about the outside. Stark white paint that has obviously dripped and a sign that is hard to read and looks like it needs a good spruce up. We visited late in the afternoon and the friendly staff kept the tea room open a little later for us so we could enjoy one of their afternoon tea's. Velvet and Vanilla is a warm, confortable cafe with a difference, you don't feel rushed to leave as soon as you've finished your drink and can just chill using the wifi or just browsing through a magazine and always feel welcome. A great place to go and hang out with excellent food. More

We had cheese and tuna toasty and stilton and walnut scone, came with tasty side salad. Really enjoyed and then wonderfully delicious carrot cake!
