This time we went to dine for my wife's birthday, as we do for all our family celebrations, we were accompanied by our daughter and grand daughter. What a sublime meal, fine wines and a sweet to die for with wonderful service. We have dined at Egans for quite a few years now and have never been disappointed. It says... More

This review might be a bit long, but please bear with me. Just arrived back from a weekend away in the New Forest and had dinner at Egan’s on the Saturday night. I discovered the restaurant after searching reviews on TA and it looked promising so I booked a table over the phone. Just to preface the following opinion, I’m... More

Returned after a few years away - not sure why we have taken so long to eat here again. Excellent food, good wine list, nice atmosphere. Asparagus to start, a seasonal treat, followed by Monkfish. Really recommend the fish dishes a this restaurant, the sauces are always exceptional and the portions are spot on. Definitely to be recommended.

They are very good - so had to wait till 8.30 for a table - lots of locals and visitors alike - 5star presentation and flavours - service a bit slow due to being busy Cost was also excellent 100% better than another local restaurant which was 50% more expensive

I have visited a few times when visiting my parents locally and the quality of the food is fantastic and the service very friendly. We recently held a private family buffet there and they really surpassed themselves. tim dalling

Egans is a good place to dine out. The ambience is wonderful, as are the staff. I think that the food is a bit special - my only downside is that the portions are too big in my opinion but I guess then you get more for your money!

This was a ladies-who-lunch visit on a Monday when many restaurants are closed. Egan's was busy, a sign of its popularity and good quality. Service was prompt and attentive. We had starters (asparagus/poached egg and blue-cheese stuffed fig baked wrapped in italian ham) and mains (different fish dishes, one with sea bream one with sea bass, both served with golden... Had a meal here with friends last month. It was superb!! Amazing food and good size portions. Absolutely delicious and when you think you can't eat any more, you can, because you can have an assiette of mini desserts to share!! Divine. Couldn't fault a thing. Staff are friendly, service is very good. Excellent.

I am a regular diner here and it never ceases to amaze me the quality and variety of their menu and the outatnding value. You won't leave here feeling hungry! Frankly it puts other so called "gourmet" establishments in the area to shame, where you get half the quantity for twice the price! Don't know how the do it,,,

This establishment is great from food to service it's all first class.only downside is that it could do with a modern decor.
