Food very good, reasonably priced and large portions. Lovely quirky atmosphere, very friendly staff. Would definately eat here again if in Folkstone. Glad the 'posh' restaurants at the bottom of the hill were full.

One of the best breakfasts in town, well cooked, great value served in a fabulous atmosphere. Friendly staff, good coffee, well priced food and drinks.

I'm not local to Googies but have visited a handful of times now when anywhere near Folkestone for coffee / breakfast / brunch. The food I've eaten (from Eggs Benedict to burgers) has been consistently very good indeed, as has the coffee I've had. For me it's quite an expensive place to visit, but the quality of the fayre here... More

A comfortable friendly place, serving snacks with good ingredients. The atmosphere is more like someone's home than a restaurant and the clientele are a mixed age range so that anyone will feel comfortable there.

Thank you for your comments, I would like to highlight that we offer much more than snacks. We have a full menu. We have been nominated 3 years in the "Restaurant of the Year" category with "Produced in Kent" We offer a casual dining experience without the fuss which allows us to keep prices accessible to everyone. As I sit here in GOOGIES Folkestone listening to a wonderful mix of music and eagerly awaiting the live Bluegrass music, The Bucket Boyz....and I am eating a God father burger.....I wonder why some people put negative comments about the place. The owners are friendly the food is locally sourced and tastes fantastic. The burger makes me wonder why people... More

Thank you for for your feedback, I'm sorry you didn't t enjoy your experience 100% with us and would like to try and address some of the issues raised. We have made a conscious effort not to have staff in uniforms. As you correctly pointed out we are a modern thinking cafe bar and not old fashioned, we base our... More

Recently had a delicious 'Grand slam American' breakfast at Googies, filled me up for the whole day. The american pancakes were clearly homemade, the sausage was off excellent quality and not some cheap fatty sausage. My friend had eggs benedict which she was exceptionally happy with. Always a pleasant experience coming here both day time and evening.

I simply love Googies! There really is nothing like it the food is 10 - 10 and coffee cleverly created by experts who know their coffee!! The menu is original and the staff genuine what more can you ask for.

Until today I recommended Googies to friends, loved going to gigs and always take visitors there for a coffee or a drink as the atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly. A friend of mine had ordered an Americano, the first was lovely, the second he was too polite to say anything about until he'd drunk most of it but it... More

Hi Ingrid Customer service is of paramount importance to us at Googies as the majority of the feedback clearly demonstrates on Tripadvisor. We will always replace any drink or food on the rare occasion a customer expresses dissatisfaction, when brought to our immediate attention. As you correctly point out, the drink in question had mainly been consumed apart from 2... More
