We had fantastic meal here, especially the crab and prawns. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the ambience very good and we would love to visit again.

Lovely witty staff with a real sense of humour made for a really pleasant atmosphere. The home cooked food was very fresh and beautifully cooked. Try the crab and prawn's. The whitebait I had for starters was the best I have had anywhere in the World. Yes it was that good !

We came here after a long day of walking from Sidmouth to Budleigh Salterton (bus back) and were very hungry! Small but perfectly formed menu of good pub grub, I had an amazing Broccoli and Stilton soup and battered pollock and chips! Big, hearty and tasty! Great beers, with it being a Youngs pub was not disappointed that Special was... More

Chose this for a lunch stop after reading the previous reviews. On entering the pub we asked if they were still serving as it was 1.45pm - thankfully they were. Then the staff member said that they did not have a licence that allowed children - my daughter is 15 and yes a little one for her age. A polite... More

A lovely traditional pub but the menu selection was rather limited and two of only three vegetarian options were unavailable. We ordered fresh fish (grilled haddock) but the first mouthful was full of bones :-( and we couldn't have peas as an option. However, the pan fried liver and veg was a much better choice.

Loved this very traditional English pub. It serves real ale and substantial traditional pub grub (not by any sense of the imagination a gastro pub).

This warm little pub had a great menu; a special of the day was the field green salad with balsamic vinaigrette and goat cheese. It was divine - best meal I had in Sidmouth!

I always look forward to a visit to The Swan. like the one on the water always appears clam but the people who run it are working furiously away beneath the surface to keep all the customers happy. Love the Beer festival during Folk week. they have a very good selection and Adrian or Mark are always ready to offer... More

Great Pub food at a very reasonable price. Only order 2 courses if you have a mammoth appetite! Traditional friendly Pub with good beer and atmosphere. Very pleasant staff, highly recommended.
