This restaurant serves (almost) only locally produced/grown organic food. We went for a family celebration with a small child, and some with food intolerances. This restaurant made an excellent job in adjusting the menu to our wishes. The food was delicious, good looking and served in perfect portions. The staff was kind and effective, and since we did not drink... More

We had delicious 3 course lunch here, the soup being marvellous. The main course of fish was beautifully cooked on a very busy day and the use of local food and the bio-diversity consciousness (travel distances) was very educational. This was especially shown in the focus on the additional vegetables served with the main dish and hand-made ice cream. Located... More

Hanne uses locally produced food and organic as much as possible (which means no garlic, for instance, but a local herb in the same family instead), and reinvents the traditional Norwegian cuisine (which, let's be honest, isn't very sophisticated), with excellent results. Friendly staff, very nice atmosphere and decor. Not the cheapest restaurant in Bergen, but still very good value... More

The practical matters do not need many comments: the waiters were friendly and efficient and full (but not too full) of information about the food they served. And the food it self was delicious. This restaurant serves locally produced food as far as that is reasonable (the wines were not Norwegian), and they select only the ebst as far as... More

The hotel receptionist suggested this restaurant and we spent a delightful evening there. We had the 3 course set menu and the young Waiter suggested drink pairings with each course- starting with a local cider. The fish was superb; well presented and beautifully seasoned. We enjoyed the ambience and, although it was busy, the service was top notch. Not expensive if... More

My father invited us all to this restaurant to celebrate his 80th birthday. We had a separate room so we could close the door and have our privacy. We had a 7 course meal with wine to match each dish. The chef came and explained each dish to us and talked a little about the wine that he had chosen..... More

The food is excellent and the service attentive. This is obviously a posh place for chic Bergenians. We found it serendipitously the first night we were in Bergen. A caveat - it was expensive, though another place we went to, which we thought was 'cheaper', turned out to be only $30 CAD less! Eating well in Bergen is expensive overall.

Coming from the Strand-area, you have a climb a little bit, but it's well worth the walk. The restaurant is quite big, but my table was ready in a cozy corner and... set for 1, which I appreciate. The food was good, not always excellent and the service very friendly and accommodating. They don't have many wines by the glass... More

I love this place and was a little nervous in case this time did not live up my memory. Wonderful herring for a starter, beautifully presented and just tasted divine. Delicious fish and a rather amazing cheese board, every forkful just sung in my mouth. To top it off I asked if they had any of their own beer that... More

This is one of the best meals we've had anywhere. The service was excellent, there was a nice atmosphere and the food was beautifully presented. We had a 3 course evening meal for just over 1,000 kroner.
