We enjoyed Our 10 course meal with the more expensive wine menu. Delicious combinations of taste and prepared with utmost care and ingeniousity. Very good waiters. Knowledgable, fast and undisturbing with super follow up of our requests. Nice interior of the restaurant in the cellar of an old building. Expensive, but the visit to this restaurant was well worth the... More

If you are a tourist to our town: GO HERE! This place is less formal than upstairs fine dining section "Statholdergaarden". The food is no compromise though, it is just as good. Great lunch, good value, probably one of the best service staffs in town. The kitchen is part of Bent Stiansen´s supervision (headchef at Statholdergaarden) and was the first... More

Very good food for a reasonable price, for Oslo standards. Elsewhere in Oslo, for the same price, you can easily get garbage food. Fish was very fresh and cooked with modern twists. Service was OK, but not great. I will definitely go back again when in Oslo.

This gem is the basement of Statholdergaarden, the renowned 2-star restaurant of Bocuse d´Or winner Bent Stiansen. In his basement you are served bif portions of solid and great-tasting food.

Great food, great location and atmosphere. And affordable prices Only two minus: one of the waiters very friendly but not very knowledgeable, a younger one very professional and serious but not so friendly.

The lunch is good value for what you get. It is a nice subdued atmosphere, and a great place to take colleagues for a business lunch. The kitchen is the same as for the gourmet restaurant upstairs, and you can tell.

I have visited several times, both for business and pleasure. I have never been here for lunch though, only for dinner. Had the seasonal 10 course menu every time. It tastes really good, and at 599 kroner it's great value as well. Will be back!

We have visited several times, both for lunch and dinner. The ten course-menu follows the seasons and is great value for money. Lunch is good and reasonable priced. The staff is very nice and have a high level of knowledge for both food and wine. The restaurant is situated in an old celler and is perfect both for romantic dinners... More

I came back to this place with my wife, for lunch. The menu is as inviting as before, and their "stjerneskudd" is a perfect example of how it should be. The staff are knowledgeable about both the food they serve, and the drinks they serve. All of their food holds the highest standards, and the prices are very reasonable.
