No one beats the shellfish at Solsiden. Located just by the harbour, this is the place to go if you are willing to pay up for a special treat. Book in advance.

Today 16 of May I went to this amazing restaurant , excellent Service , nice view of the harbour , the fish and sea food was delicious. Nice atmosphere ...Specially I will not forget the handsome gentleman sitting next to us who helped us with the lobster today! :))))

The restaurant is located by the seaside, in a more quiet are than Aker Brygge. Enjoyable on sunny days or to enjoy great food by the sea. Impressed by their food quality, and their service was great! Would love to return!

Dont´t select from the meny yourself but leave it to the chef to decide what to eat as well as selecting the wine(s), will cost a bit, however, you will get an unforgettable meal!!

Have visited Solsiden on several occasions. Always happy there, but it is awfully hard to get nice seating (unless you are an "insider" I guess). Consistently good food, but service vary with the waiter - and more so than other places I like.

This restaurant opens later in the season and closes early - consequently they do not have the choice of the better Norwegian waiters. If there were more Swedish waiters then I am certain that the quality of service would improve and the arrogant waiters would hopefully disappear. Seafood is mediocre. This will live long in the memory - sitting on a Friday evening with the sun setting over the fjord and waiting for the mountanous seafood platter that this restaurant is famous for. Superb, fresh seafood and some very nice wines to accompany it. Wonderful!
