If you are going to Tromso I truly recommend you the Aunegarden restaurant. It's cosy charming and original. Indeed each dining room have been decorated in different style what is quite amazing to see it. The food was excellent and it's not as expensive as I though and the staff was very good.

Delicious foods, good portions, clean restaurant, old classic style, friendly staffs and price was not so expensive. Don't forget to try their cakes! Absolutely will come back again.

On our last day in Tromsø we decided to stop into Aunegarden for some food based on a recommendation from our guide book as a reasonably priced meal. The snack of a cheesecake and cappuccino was very delicious. However, I was disappointed being it was Sunday and they do not serve meals on Sunday. The resturant area I walked through... More

We were a hungry party of six and it was late afternoon when we stumbled across the cafe. What a find! The food was great - not any enormous choice, you can go the the restaurant for that. A private room at the back, super Norwegian dishes such as the fish soup. Shame we were too full for the delicious-looking... More

We visited Aunegarden twice during our stay in Tromso. One for Lunch and one for afternoon tea. Both visits were excellent and the quality of food was good - most notably the cheesecakes! The Staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. Prices are what you expect for Norway - Expensive!!! Expect to pay approx £40-50 for a Light lunch for... More

This restaurant is in one of the eldest buildings of Tromso, and is bigger than you would imagine from the outside. It has several tiny but cosy chambers. The service and the food are good, the cakes unforgettable.

We had tried to book into another restaurant and couldn't get in and had heard good things about this restaurant. The food was fabulous, tasted great was reasonably priced. The chef could probably make the presentation look prettier. I had my best starter in all of Norway here. It's not every ones cup of tea but if you want some... More

Sizeable, tasty portions of food - we only sampled the café and not the main restaurant - good coffee and free WiFi. Can't really argue with that. Horribly expensive but then everything in Norway is, so you can't give them a black mark for the price. Gets very busy, so you have to wait for a table sometimes.
