You can't miss admiring this historic antique building as you stroll by the Salzach River towards Old Town. We went in looking for a small bite with a great view after a long day of walking. We were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the friendly staff. We went back 3 times. Whether for tea, coffee,... More

Hooray! Reasonably priced food! We stayed next door in the Hotel Sacher, but ate twice in this local haven. Good breakfasts & lunches with daily specials. Fewer English speakers here than most other restaurants--a pleasure!

Felt like one of those places you'd go every day in your home town. Casual, good service, huge selection of newspapers from all over on those rods like you see in libraries. A nice mid-day stop.

The atmosphere here is beautiful. Wood walls, beautiful chandeliers and lighting. Seat yourself, but not at the tables marked "reserved." You can see the river out the windows, and the ambience was charming. In the summer, they had outdoor seating. Do not bring babies or small children. If you must talk in a loud tone of voice, or dress in... More

This is an original art deco cafe with sheltered outdoor seating adjacent to the river, with views of the fortress. Also plentiful indoor seating. Prices are very reasonable for such a location. Food and beer are good quality.

This is an atmospheric cafe located on the bank of the river. It has an old fashioned feel and is certainly not a place to go to mingle with Salzburg's youth but for a place to sip great coffee, enjoy some cake and while away some time flicking through the selection of papers provided free of charge or gazing out... Very beautiful place for a stop during the all day walk around the town. You can taste the Salsburg lifestyle drinking a "melange" with a slice of cake.

Having a brunch at Cafe Bazar was a pleasure, mainly thanks to a great view from the outdoor terrace to the Old Town, fresh and good quality (bio) food as well as friendly and discreet service. Expect business casual rather than just-out-of-a-bed guests.
